[www.keralites.net] HOW TO DEAL WITH PMS SYNDROME

HOW TO DEAL WITH PMS SYNDROME
I would like to address one of your possible issues
called PMS. At the monthly attack of the Mother Nature, women
undergo a terrible combination of physical, psychological and
emotional disturbances with varying severity. Though it is nothing
to worry about, it highly upsets the environment for a few days.
1. Intense irritability and mood swings
2. Sadness and crying bouts
3. Poor concentration
4. Sleep disorders
5. Physiological changes including breast tenderness, headaches,
digestive problems, bloating and weakness.
6. Stress, anxiety and low self esteem
These are some changes that you experience during those days. Have
you wondered about their causes?
# Hormonal changes
# Changes in the brain chemicals
# Stress
# Poor nutrition and dietary habits
# Alcohol or caffeine consumption
# A family history of depression

The home remedies I am going to mention are suggested by different
women who had experience fighting their PMS symptoms.
1. Exercise. There is no question of what exercise and for how
long. You can do any moderate exercise that you are comfortable
with for at least 30 minutes. Some women also enjoy rigorous
physical activity for 15 minutes. Cuddling up in bed is not
recommended unless advised by the doctor.
2. A healthy diet with whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables.
Low vitamins and nutrients can aggravate PMS.
3. Sugary foods, excess salt, refined foods and caffeine should be
controlled.
4. Some women find relief by eating foods rich in magnesium,
Vitamin B6 and Vitamin E.
5. If you have digestive problems, don't go hungry. Eat small,
frequent meals.
6. See if milk can make you feel better.
7. Omega 3 acids may improve your irritability and mood swings.
8. Try pineapples. Who knows, manganese in pineapples, brown rice
or raspberries may work better.
9. Sleep well for at least 8 hours at night.
10. Cultivate a habit of going out with family, friends or engage
in creative habits, go to a spa, do yoga or just about anything
that would take the stress out.
I would be happy to answer any other queries you might have.

The good, the bad, the ugly: 5 things you must know before you buy Jio SIM
reliance
Mukesh Ambani, on Thursday announced the launch of Reliance Jio and changed the telecom landscape of India forever. The announcements were no less than wish-fulfilment for a section of Indians who either never tasted the internet or those who lamented the scarcity (read high data cost). Free calls for life, cheap data rates, available to anyone for free until December 31; what else do we want? But before you jump with joy, here are a few important things you must know about the Reliance Jio SIM:
Firstly, check your handset's compatibility. As Jio is a 4G-only service, handsets not 4G-enabled, will not work. Get yourself a new one.
The Jio SIM cards will be available from 5 September and have no cost attached. In simple terms, they are FREE. Not just that, Jio's Data, Voice, Video and the full bouquet of Jio applications and content will be available for users for no charge, till 31 December, 2016. Post that, customers will be charged for data only. Voice calls will be free to any network across the country with no roaming charges. Tariff plans start at Rs 149 and will go up to Rs 5,000.
After 31 December, the cost for data is Rs 50 per GB. Here's some good news for students - they will get 25% more data when the commercial plans are rolled out.
To call from Reliance Jio, you will have to install an app called Jio Join. This app will use use service providers' interconnecting interface. And here's the glitch - other telecom providers might not be wholeheartedly supporting this venture that might lead to call failure.
To get your hands on a Jio SIM, the easiest way is to buy Lyf handsets but if you have a compatible handset and want just the SIM, you will need your Aadhar card.
Not just Jio SIM, Reliance has also announced a new line-up of affordable 4G LTE-capable Lyf smartphones, starting at Rs 2,999 and a price cut for its 4G LTE personal router called JioFi. The Jio-Fi Wi-Fi router will now be available at Rs 1,999.
What is JioFi?
The JioFi is a wireless router that can be used as a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot to share internet with other Wi-Fi enabled devices. The device is backed by a 2,300mAh battery which is rated to deliver up to 6 hours of battery life on a single charge. What could be its best feature is that it can connect 10 Wi-Fi enabled devices and one on USB.

Father Beaver, left, with his surgeon Robert MacLaren. Fr Beaver said his eyesight is returning after the operation

A priest said he felt 'completely relaxed' as surgeons performed revolutionary surgery inside his eye with the aid of a robot.

The patient, Father William Beaver, 70, an associate priest at St Mary the Virgin Church in Oxford, said his eyesight was returning following the operation, having previously experienced distorted vision similar to 'looking in a hall of mirrors at a fairground'.

The procedure - the world's first robotic operation - was carried out by surgeons at Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital, who welcomed its success and said it could revolutionise the way such conditions are treated.
