It looks funny to conclude and to say that Language only can unite or to say languages are the only dividing factors for people.

There cannot be single factor everywhere in a phenomenal result.

To have ease in acquiring knowldge, people should learn through mother language. Other language should also be learnt for spread of knowldge and communication.

Some people do not study 3rd language at all. e.g. Hindi speaking and Tamil speaking.

Hindi speaking hardly learn Sanskrit. They talk of Hindu Dharma, but they do not even write properly the word Satanat (सनातन).They write it as SNATAN (स्नातन). I take them as Muslim (म्लेच्छ).

Language is a tool for communication and nothing more. I do not see how it can unite people. America and England had the same language and yet they fought a bloody war of independence. Similarly the Northern  and Southern States of the US fought a bloody Civil war though they had a common language of communication. Here in India the people of Andhra pradesh speak a common language. Yet they broke up into Andhra and Telugu Desam proving language doest unite people. All the Arabic nations have a common language and yet they are ever at conflict with each other proving that a common language does not unite people. In fact there have been many wars between people speaking the same language and so the theory that Hindi will unite people of India is an unfounded claim. In fact the imposition of Hindi is resented by South Indians as an attempt by arrogant North Indians to impose their hegemony over the South. Besides, Hindi is not a developed language and it cannot handle Scientific, legal and other critical matters. That is why we still have to depend on English for legislation as well as for court matters. So I dont see why we have to learn Hindi which has no use whatsoever except to promote Northern vanity.
Hindi is like a bullock cart while English is like a modern car. I dont see why we have to buy a bullock cart when we can buy a modern car.
France, Holland, Spain, Denmark, Germany etc are traditional enemies of Britain. Yet all of them teach English at the School level because English is the most useful language in the World. For the same reason even the Chinese are now making English compulsory in their schools. Whether you like it or not the world is getting more and more homogenised due to globalisation and whether you like it or not English is going to play the most prominent part in the globalised world whereas other languages like Hindi are going to be sidelined and rejected like bullock carts.

I take very strong exception to Dr. Murthy's talking ill of the national language of India, Hindi.

That is the problem with many people in the south. They have deep inferiority complex against the Western people, so they will take great pride in learning a foreign language English and touting their English skills but

they hate North Indian people with a vengeance and are always running down their own national language and its vast superior literature instead of making any effort to learn it.

They are selfish traitors and a threat to India's harmony and unity.. They are selfish because they think that by learning English, they can go to the western countries, even make more money in India itself, while learning Hindi does not give them any monetary benefit, so why bother, to hell with the nationalism or any sacrifice for national unity.

There are hundreds of languages and 14 officially recognized languages in India. If people have to communicate at a national level, there has to be one common language. Hindi is most popular language in most of India. Its origin is Sanskrit and most of North Indian languages like Punjabi, Gujrati etc. have similar sounds and words.

South Indian languages are completely different. So, Government had this policy of teaching kids Hindi, English and their own native language.

Learning English is important because most international communication is in English. There was competition with so many languages, French, Spanish, German etc. but by law of chance English won.

That is the nature of languages.. There are tens of thousands of languages all over the world. By law of chance, some languages dominate, that is the only way if people have to communicate with each other, others fight but then have to give in for commonality while keeping their own language alive.

I am perfectly OK for North Indian administrations to make extra effort to teach their people some South Indian languages. I shall like to learn Kannada. Kannada people should also make an effort and open teaching centers in North and the rest of the world.

I am sorry for using harsh language but I have been noticing for more than 50 years, my South Indian friends' absolute hate for Hindi.

At this point, if they want to secede and separate out into a separate country, that is perfectly OK with me.

I am tired of this great democratic country, bending backwards to be utmost fair to each citizen, but each different group kicking it as hard as they can, without ever appreciating it, particularly their elite ones.

Sorry and regards,

Dear Mr. Gupta:

I understand. I know English extremely well, with my poems taught in American Universities among other legendary English poets like William Wordsworth, William Blake, Milton, and Shakespeare's sonnets. I have developed novel paradigms, paradigm shifts, and paradigm reversals applicable to literature in all languages.

I have developed seminal contributions in linguistics, etymology, and phonology in samskritam, far beyond the contributions of the legendary Panini, Amarasimha and Vatsayana.

In a great language called Kannada, the best language in the whole of India, which should be the National Language in place of seriously ill-equipped Hindi, I have lectured on the prominent stage with Jnana Peeth awardees. I want you to realize only Kannada has been honored with the highest number of Jnana Peeth awards. I know most Hindi speakers and people of North India can't even correctly pronounce the word Jnana Peeth, but in an ugly way say it as "Gyan Peeth", demonstrating that Hindi needs much upliftment and rehabilitation in samskritam pronunciation.

Peddling Hindi as a national language is akin to unnecessarily hailing the "dalits', many of them super rich anyway, giving quota, while the nano minority or micro minority like our family in utter poverty, while maintaining the ideal culture, knowledge, and intellectual acuity..

Mentally slave people want  English at dominant position to stay in Bhaarat for ever

It seems that mental slavery has gone into the blood and veins of some Bhaaratiya people. Some people have still not come out of the hangover of the colonial era.  It is time to wake up and smell the coffee and see new reality in Bhaarat where people want to adopt their own culture and languages.

We all learnt English, but that does not mean we have to give up Hindii or mother tongue, especially the coming generations must learn mother tongue and Hindii. Some people want to stay slave for ever as they have started enjoying slavery. In response to any Hindii article many people start telling the advantages of learning English and adopting it for ever. They have killed their pride and consciousness instead of promoting their mother tongue and developing any link language for whole Bhaarat. If this happens then how they will get their satisfaction without being mentally slave. Dr. Jhaveri Madhusudan Ji although Gujrati himself has written about 200 articles in Hindii and have proved that Hindii has all the qualities for becoming National and link language of Bhaarat. It is not only in the matter of Hindii but all around Bhaaratiya people prove their mental slavery. Hindii has pure Sanskritnist pure Hindii words but media use and spread Urdu and English words in Hindii. Mental slavery is not shown in matter of Hindii only but all around in every field mental slavery is shown. Please watch the following program which discusses the mental slavery of Bhaaratiya people.

MODERN THREE LANGUAGE FORMULA

(Regional Language, English and Python)

By - Lt Col CR Sundar

The modern times are internet based.. Almost everything is run and maintained online and one is not far away from the world wide web at any time. In the years to come the influence of internet on our lives is only going to increase many folds.. Under these circumstances it is necessary that our future generations must be familiar with internet languages, coding and writing programs that can run on various tabletop and handheld devices.

Therefore it is essential that we include the teaching of computer languages in our education systems.

The Ministry of Education has since 1968 been harping on a 'three language formula'. At the outset it must be agreed that a three- language formula is suitable for a diverse country like ours. However we find that through the decades the policy has failed.

The reason for this is successive governments have erred in the choice of languages. They have rightly given the first and second place in the formula to regional languages and English. It is in the choice of the third language that they have gone wide off the mark.

For the third language they have said that non-Hindi states should take on Hindi as the third language. This is strongly opposed by non-Hindi states as an imposition of Hindi upon them. They are unwilling to accept Hindi in the school education curricula since they see it as an attempt by the Hindi States to dominate them. Therefore the present form of three language formula has been a total failure.

In any case Hindi is unsatisfactory as a compulsory language for many reasons. You can't study medicine or engineering in Hindi. It is not useful for global trade or international relations. Better poetry exists in Urdu, and better literary traditions in Thamizh or Bengali. Easier Hindustani with flexible gender norms is useful for the armed forces and if you want a job Thamizh or Kannada is preferable because that is where jobs exist. So Hindi can at best only retain its scope as a local language of certain regions. Any passerby through a Hindi- regions can pick up that language in a matter of days.

But on the other- hand the three- language formula can be a success and be welcomed by all States of our country if, keeping with modern times, we choose a Computer Language as the third language instead of Hindi. This will increase the computer literacy in our country which at present is dismally low.

Of the languages at present available for inclusion as the third language the Python language seems to be the most suitable because of various reasons.

The main advantage of Python is that it is an Open Source and Community Developed language that is easy to learn and has support available. It has a user-friendly Data Structure it is beneficial for productivity and speed.

It is a superb language for teaching programming both at the introductory and in the more advanced courses.. There are many courses that teach basic skills for scientific computing, running bootcamps and providing open-access teaching materials.

Python is used in many applications and domains. It is widely used in scientific and numeric computations. It is the preferred language for Artificial Intelligence. It offers many choices for web development such as Django and Flask and advanced content management systems. Python's standard library supports many Internet protocols.

Hence Python should be chosen as the third language of Modern Three Language Formula. In this modernised form the priority of languages should be as follows: -

First Language (The Anchor)              - Regional Language

Second Language (The Global Link) - English

Third Language (The Future) - Python

Such a Modern Three Language Formula will be acceptable to all States and can be applied uniformly for the whole country.

Your suggestion will make Bhaarat mentally slave forever

To: Mohan Gupta <mgupta@rogers.com>
Thank you Guptaji for your comments.

People of a nation do not become slaves because of the language they speak.

They become slaves because of their mental weakness.

They fall to slavery when they choose the easier wrong against the harder right.

There is no proof that Hindi provides mental robustness.

South India resisted the Moghuls whereas the Hindi belt fell prey to them just as the people of the Hindi belt are now slaves of Hindutva.

From Mohan Gupta to Lt Col CR Sundar Ji

India is India because of the non-Hindi people.

Lt Col CR Sundar Ji,

You have suggested three language formula where Hindii has no place for all-of Bhaarat, while English would be taught to 100 percent students of Bhaarat. There is no place for Hindii in the 3- language formula suggested by you. Dr. Madhusudan Ji have written more than 200 articles on this topic. According to your suggestion no Bhaaratiya language will get the prominent status in Bhaarat and everybody will have to learn English. Like Israel why not any language be developed in Bhaarat which becomes national language of Bhaarat and even one the languages of UNO.

Your suggestion will make whole of Bhaarat mentally slave for ever. Will the conscious of people like you ever become clear and try to do something for the glory of Bhaarat.

Dr. KRS Murthy wants to cleanse the name and vocabulary of Hindii

Dear Mr. Mohan Gupta:

Your writing is appreciated against English and promoting Hindi. Your writing is good.

Here are my points:

  1. Hindi is a baby language, compared to other profound and much more mature languages with over 2000 years of linguistic history and fully developed compared to Hindi.
  2. The Hindi language suffers from the cancer of Urdu words in a big percentage of the vocabulary. Thus Hindi is a hybrid language, with thousands of years of Islamic burden that the language can't shrug off.
  3. Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, and Bengali are far superior to Hindi..
  4. The basic name of the language "Hindi" is a made-up word like "Hindu".
  5. I am an expert linguist and etymologist in samskritam, and could advise Hindi scholars to get rid of its big share of Urdu and enrich the language, and with the experts in the list of great languages, I mentioned in one of my previous bullets..
  6. We need to teach the PM and leaders of the country that they have succumbed to promoting and forcing a language that is plagued by Urdu words. I could personally take it up, along with the experts of the list of mature languages in one of the previous bullets.
  7. I have seminal contributions to the etymology and linguistics of samskritam, and is qualified to take the lead, flanked by samskritam pandits in Indian universities.
  8. Please understand that my intentions and aim is to first improve the Hindi language, after essentially renaming the "Hindi" language itself and have pandits performing "pancha gavya puNyaah" cleansing the language, for the Urdu plague has to be ousted out of the language Hindi.
  9. Hindi is ill prepared
