[www.keralites.net] Re: [TheBecoming] Re: TEMPLES vs CHURCHES AND MOSQUES THERE WEALTH AND ACCOUNTABILITY

I do not know about the other states. But in Kerala the erstwhile kings built temples and collected revenues. At the time of Independence the state inherited the rights and duties of the erstwhile kings and so the government owns the temples and their revenues.
In contrast Christians, Buddhist, Jain and Islamic places of worship were built with private contributions and were autonomous. At the time of independence this status continued.
There are Hindu foundations such as Sai Baba and Amrithananda Mayi which are privately founded and funded like Christian and Muslim organizaation and so the state has no hold over these foundations though they are owned by Hindus.
I would like religious institutions to be taxed. But I am not in a position to do anything about it.

I totally agree. Hindus are a bunch of nauseating hypocrites. In the name of God, they make money for themselves and are not interested in society. As Swami Vivekananda said, "Even in religion there is trade. Hindus tell God, O God I will put Rs.100 in your Hundi. Make me a crorepathi". On account of utter selfishness, and disinterestedness of Babas and Gurus in others, and their infighting and hatred for each other, Hinduism is soon going to disappear. This is a serious matter,so Hindus wake up! Force all babas and gurus to stop poojas and bhajans for one century and come together on one platform to save and strengthen Hinduism.

Hindus are not social animals. The religion facilitate for them to inwardly and practice their religion for their ourselves. Collectivism not there.

The temples and priests do not engage socio-economic upliftment of the Hindu community.

We are a bunch of nauseating hypocrites. Waste our time talking and criticising.

Unlike other religions there is no centralised Hindu structures for Hindu priests. Most of the priests flirt a lot make money.

All other religion especially Christianity and Islam, they try to suppress Hindus, by imposing their character of being liar, upon Hindus. To tell lies is the character of Christians and Muslims.
