[www.keralites.net] This Mom Refused To Give Up On Her Disabled Son And Nurtured Him All The Way To Harvard [1 Attachment]

This Mom Refused To Give Up On Her Disabled Son And Nurtured Him All The Way To Harvard :- Zou Hongyan gave birth to her son Ding Ding in year 1988 but he was born with acute birth complications and he was left with cerebral palsy. Doctors of Hubei province very clearly told her to give up all the hopes, including her husband, as they believed that he won't be able to live a good life and will be like a vegetable all his life.

Zou was quite adamant and did not believe anyone, she gave divorce to her child's father and made it a mission to give her a son a good life. She worked at least 3 jobs simultaneously to support her small family, including protocol training and insurance sales, and played brain-boosting games with her son to stimulate his senses and build the basics of his intelligence. She even trained him how to use chopsticks when his stiff hands could hardly grip them. "I didn't want him to feel ashamed about these physical problems," she told the South China Morning Post. "Because he had inferior abilities in many areas, I was quite strict on him to work hard to catch up where he had difficulties."

The same boy Ding Ding who was shunned by his own father is a Peking University graduate with a bachelor's degree in environmental sciences and engineering. As of recently, he's also a Harvard Law student. The mother who gave every ounce of her life we can only imagine how happy she must be to see her son doing so well.
