Put on Your New Nature!

So often we think we have to do it (solve problems, fix mistakes, etc) in our own strength.
This in when people make quick decisions that end only making matters worse.
The Scripture says, 'Be still and know that I am God.'
This principle is especially important when you are facing challenges.
When you feel overwhelmed and you are tempted to take everything into your own hands,
you have make yourself be still. The battle is not yours. The battle is the Lord's.
But as long as you are fighting it God will step back and let you.
But when you give it over to God and say, 'God I trust you, now I'm going to be still and know that
You are God.' That is when God will fight your battles.
When the Israelites were surrounded by a huge army and greatly outnumbered. They were worried
and stressed trying to come up with some type of strategy to fight off the enemy.
Just before they went into battle they decided to pray,
God said to them, 'Stand still, and you will see the deliverance of the Lord.
For the Lord will fight for you, if you remain at rest.'
Notice the condition.
God will turn it around. God will vindicate you, 'if you will be still and remain at rest.'
Now do your part and rest. Trust God's timing.
Your Creator knows what He is doing.
Colossians 3:10

learn to know your Creator and become like Him.'
Sometimes it's a good thing to examine ourselves.
We should deal with things like unforgiveness and bitterness.
We need to put on the new nature that God has given us.
And our life's goal should be to become more like HIM.

PRAYER:
Sometimes it's a good thing to examine ourselves.

Lord, from today I ask that You will help me to make a fresh start.
May I live according to the new nature that You have given me and
will You come
and renew me I pray.
