Re: [www.keralites.net] Food as Medicine

Dear Doctor Hegde,
I have been reeading your beatiful and informative articles on medical issues since very long and I have no hesitation in saying that I am your fan.

I recently had a mild paralytic attack with my right arm and right leg affected. It lasted for not more than two hours as I was rushed to hospital and was treated by a good Doctor.

My MRI report showed mild clottings.

I was diagonosed with severe iron and vitamin B12 deficiency (Iron at 20 microgram/DL and B12 as 110 Pg/Ml).

I am perfectly alright now but since then I have been feeling little uncomfortable on my arms and legs with little numbness and tingling.

I am prescribed Ecospirin 75mg and Aztor 10 mg for life long. Point to be noted here that my cholestrol level (both LDL and HDL) is on the lower side of the reference range.

I feel my legs also getting swelled.

My BP is also normal (130/80) with medication of Nicardia Retard 20 (one a day)

Can u suggest whether I should continue with thes medicines or you would suggest any other medicines specially for my numbness and tingling in my legs and arms.

I had consumed Feronia XT for two months and iron level has now climbed to 171 microgram/Dl.I have been advised to take Homochek capsules also for one month which I am yet to start.

Warm Regards.
A Kumar
