वक़्त हर बात का जवाब देता है 
जिसे देना हो उसे खिताब देता है ।

इक उम्र बीतने के बाद आपको ये 
आपके तजुर्बों की किताब देता है ।

आपके किये हुये हर इक कर्म का
ये वक़्त ही आपको हिसाब देता है ।

हमें समझ न आये ये वक़्त क्यों 
उसको काँटा इसको गुलाब देता है ।
