Dear all,
Regarding the use of sunglasses in a cloudy day / rainy day, please note that 'all models' will not give the best efficiency. The most recommended glasses would be the POLAROID Sunglasses, which is excellent for driving on a rainy day. I use that on rainy days and it is a 'different world' when you look through when it is cloudy and misty. It will give you a clear vision and I would recommend all who can afford it, to use it on rainy days.
These glasses are available in major optical shops and facilities are displayed to test the effects of polarization in the optical shop itself. Do not buy the glasses without testing, since all glasses looks similar otherwise.
If anyone needs more information on Polaroid glasses and its effects, there are lots of sites on internet, but the following site give a good description:

A clear vision can make driving safer.

GOOD VISION IN A DOWNPOUR
How to achieve good vision while driving during a heavy downpour.
It is useful....even driving at night. One method used by Canadian Military Drivers for years.
Make sure you always have a pair of SUN GLASSES in your car, as you are not only helping yourself to drive safely with good vision, but also might save your friend's life by giving him this idea..
Or the "kickup" if you are following a semi or car in the rain. They ought to teach that little tip in driver's training. It really does work..
This next warning is a another good one! I wonder how many people know about this:
