THE SHEEP THAT WAS NOT SHEARED FOR 5 YEARS ...

Members of the Australian public have recently been reporting a terrifyingly huge monster prowling the bush near Canberra.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) sent out some officers to capture the beast. Turns out, it was an escaped sheep in need of some serious grooming.

The RSPCA believes that the sheep, who they named Chris, escaped from a farm five years ago and hasn't been sheared since. Look at that majestic Afro.

Once back at an RSPCA center, the call was put out for a hairdresser. Though they ended up needing five.

The team of veteran shearers took more than 40 minutes to finish the job. And they even needed to hack away at the coat a second time after that.

Can you spot Chris in all that wool? And you can tell just how much work this was by the size of those pit stains.

After all was said and done, they removed 89lbs of fleece from Chris in a single sitting. That's aworld record, by the way.

After the weigh-in, Chris was taken to a vet, who says he's doing fine. And after a few days of observation, he'll be put up for adoption.

And Chris is loving his new haircut. The pink marks are antiseptic spray for a few cuts he got during his adventure.
