The Tape worm gets inside the intestine through infected and uncooked meat or fish. It hooks to the intestine using hooks on its head. It turns out the cysts are caused by a tapeworm that has grown over a meter long. Eating undercooked meat from infected animals is the main cause of tapeworm infection in people.
