Interesting Sculptures made of Straw — Each year in the rural areas of Kagawa and Niigata Prefectures of Japan after the rice harvest are piles of straw. One day someone came up with the idea of using the same techniques traditionally used to build straw roofs, local artists instead build animals on wooden frames. The idea was picked up by the master and straw sculptures began to hold festivals, exhibitions of his creations. The most famous place in Kagawa Prefecture and Niigata.
