Brunch Wedding at Charleston's Historic Rice Mill Posted: 18 Oct 2013 04:00 AM PDT Are you thinking about going nontraditional with your nuptials? If so, how about having a brunch wedding like Jessica and Alex's perfectly pretty day? Held at the Historic Rice Mill Building in Charleston, soft hues of gold, ivory and pink warmly reflected the day's happiness. Guests were treated with creative details and a breakfast spread by Good Food Catering. Mock newspapers about the couple and their bridal party were used as programs. And crossword puzzles sat at each seat along with a box of "Sweeties" cereal. Each box was complete with the perfect posed image of the couple on the box cover. With one of my favorite trends – bridesmaids in different, yet complimentary dresses – Jessica's ladies surrounded her in loveliness. However it was the bride who stole the show in her stunning cream colored Monique Lhuillier, one-shoulder tulle gown. And let's not forget the men. I always appreciate seeing the groom in something different than his guys. I mean, it's his big day too. He should stand out as well. Alex did a splendid job of that by wearing a handsome gray suit with a black tie. And his groomsmen opposed in black suits and gray ties. Debonair indeed. After the beautiful outdoor ceremony, everyone headed indoors where guests ate, mingled and played Jenga and checkers until the newlyweds cut their maple syrup drizzled pan"cake". Photographed by Riverland Studios with event planning by Sweet Grass Events By Stephanie Gibbs, I'd say this soiree was every bit the unique event they planned! |
