Mr. Menon, Your ideas are very GOOD but the present system of Government should go and a new presidential form of government should come. Then what you said is imperative. The Indian Democracy will not function properly because of its own structural flaw and NOT the political parties. A 5 tier Democracy with over 30 lakh elected members, where in each tier is opposing the other will not take a nation to any where except destruction.  For your information today each member of Parliament represents an average 22.2 Lakh people. In the world there are 104 countries which do not have a population of even  20 Lakh and most of them advanced very well in the past 20 years. So it is better to hand over each Parliament constituency to its own member of Parliament and let him rule the constituency with the help of the Collector. ( More or less like old Naattu Rajaas) The member will be so serious and he will do everything for his constituency and the nation will progress. What the nation needs is a strong Vigilance Dept. to check the corruption. Let Central Ministry is formed from Rajya Sabha Members like our Manmohan Singh.

The communists and other small regional parties do their best to defeat congress and when they are elected to lok sabha, they support congress govt., is this not defection?

Small regional parties are just like private companies run for personal benefit and cheat people by misusing public fund and states growth is adversely affected by this misrule. Take the case of Tamilnadu where everyone wants to become chief minister for five years and small small parties are coming up seeing the prosperity of families who run parties.

People have voted against congress and the elected man is supporting congress. I ask the voters to elect a single party to lok sabha - whoever the party may be (except parties like BJP who spoil social harmony saying Hindu-Muslim etc.) and then see the difference in their functioning.

When khichadi govt. (coalition) is formed, lot of public money is wasted to remain in power due to horse trading by small parties. As in Kerala it is happening now.

People must realise this and VOTE INDIAN NATIONAL CONGRESS TO POWER as it is the only National Party In India. Do not worry, corrupt people will be handled by the Judiciary and Executives.

Then only democracy will be worthwhile and country can progress. Otherwise, spending lot of money for conducting elections etc. are also a waste.

Come on all citizens of India, do not waste your voting power, make use of it for the benefit of our motherland, Vote Indian National Congress so that there is a one party rule in India and India will lead Asia to show the way of progress.
