Some people still live in the 15th century. They have no vision and cannot think more than one year ahead. VT station made by Britishers 100 years before to run 2 trains. Now 200+ trains running here. Airport is not mend for rich alone. If there is an airport how many people get job direct and related to airport? If there is an environmental problem, think of rectifying it and not to stop the development of a place. According to me, this area is a mushy place and never used for cultivation. Next is water plane. Some will say the sound disturb their sleep and protest and 10 people join him. Are they thinking backward? Abraham

Let us all stop spreading blatant lies.Pl understand that this unwanted luxury of an airport at Aranmula is not at all aimed at development as wrongly made out to be.Kerala doesn't require any more airports.Pathanamthitta needs development ; but not only through an unwanted airport; but people should find employemnt and evelopmen thro active agricuture in the green fields available there.If at all airport is something very essential for the returns once in a while, it may be relocated at Kottayam, Idukki areas where less cultivation of useful edible crops are done unlike Aranmula in Pathanamthitta.Pathanamthitta should look for development thro other means and not by the destruction of whatever greenery and cultivable land is remaining.We all know how strong the lobby for the desturction is  and how well they keep on spreading lies in justifying this wasteful expenditure.With due respect to this powerful lobby, we plead, please stop spreading wrng justifications for this colossal waste of airport at Aranmula.

An airport at Aranmula will not cause national catastropy or damage to the local as people predict. In fact it will creat a large number employment scopes as well as developments in the district. Which of the Kerala airports are construction on desert?  A large percentage of expatriates are from this district and nearby districts. All the factories, IT parks or any other facilities have used or constructed on lands which were previously used for cultivations. The people who don't like Pathanamthitta district development or they may the value or importants of other place may deminish are obstructing this project.

People of Pathnamthitta District, as it will increase employment for many unemployed people and it will also help people who are coming back from Saudi/Gulf.
Actually, all airport are built at the cost of nature.
