Everybody has his own interest in this subject. "Pothu Janam Pala Vidham". Some people wants to create commotion for the time being and in the commotion corner all those prime lands at cheapest possible price. The history will tell you one TRUTH, that where ever there was a PORT that place has developed into a mega city. With the changing time and the arrival of aircrafts, an AIRPORT is more preferable for any type of development.  I will tell you an incident. My uncle had around 5acres of land at Angamaly as his share some 40 years back. His relatives have all sold their share and migrated to cities like Ernakulam & Trichur. My uncle has been cursing for having barren land there at Angamaly. On his retirement in 1985 he sold part of his share of land and bought  10cents and constructed a house at TRIPUNITHURA and settled down there. After that there was a change taken place, Nedumbassery Airport has come up. Initially my uncle used to travel all the way to Angamaly to join the protest against the Airport. They vehemently objected to the AIRPORT. Some of the protesters even threatened with suicide. Any way Govt went ahead with the project and got it commissioned. A massive developments took place there, the land price shot up. The land which he sold for Rs. 500/ per cent has gone up to Rs. 20/-Lakh today.  My uncle sold his Tripunithura house and returned to Angamaly and settled down there. Luckly he has sold only 2.5 acres of his share and balance 2.5 acres is still with him. NOW HE FEELS SORRY FOR SELLING HIS SHARE OF PROPRTY AT A THROW AWAY PRICE. HE FEELS THAT IF HE HAD THAT PROPERTY ALSO HIS ASSETS WOULD HAVE GONE UP BY ANOTHER Rs. 50/- CRORES.

SO THE PEOPLE OF ARANMULA SHOULD THINK TWICE BEFORE GOING FOR AN AGITATION AGAINST AIRPORT. IT IS A BLESSING OF ARANMULA MAHADEVAN FOR HIS DECIPLES OF ARANMULA. TAKE IT THAT WAY.

ANY ARGUMENT AGAINST AIRPORT IS NOTHING BUT NONSENSE.

We don't need anymore airports in Kerala. Three International Airports is more enough in a small state like KERALA. Airports are not like KSRTC Bus Stand to be built in each and every District and it is not a common transport media. Why dont all keralites and government could re-think to invest  that money to make that area (same land proposed for airport) for a good Agricultural FARM that could atleast avoid relying on other states for vegetables. 

Please please please stop building concrete structures and airports...we need our kerala to be back as gods own country with good climate, nature and food

An airport at Aranmula will not cause national catastropy or damage to the local as people predict. In fact it will creat a large number employment scopes as well as developments in the district. Which of the Kerala airports are construction on desert?  A large percentage of expatriates are from this district and nearby districts. All the factories, IT parks or any other facilities have used or constructed on lands which were previously used for cultivations. The people who don't like Pathanamthitta district development or they may the value or importants of other place may deminish are obstructing this project.

People of Pathnamthitta District, as it will increase employment for many unemployed people and it will also help people who are coming back from Saudi/Gulf.
Actually, all airport are built at the cost of nature.
