Solar panels may go for 20years.
But what about the life of batteries?
If at all we use special "Traction Batteries" the life will be 1500 charging cycles.

you can buy solar panels ready maade or you can buy solar cells and solder it to make around 36 volt
the solar panel will charge the batterey ( indian battery is ok ) you buy .
you have to buy inverter also . you get good one in india .
solar panels will cost around 50 rs per watt . so min you can keep 1000w . 4 panels of 250 watt.
this is enough for your use . you need one controller .also
if in kerala means you can use 2kw complete . good for 20 yrs . you can run complete home without AC .
