Re: [www.keralites.net] എയര്‍ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ അനാസ്‌ഥ വീണ്ടും == BOYCOTT AIR INDIA ==

This has reference to few of the recent posts about AIR INDIA, in this group.

Not taking into consideration some of the "immature", "biased" , "anti south" comments in the group so far, I think, majority of the members, who had posted on the issue, had been sort of upset with the service provided by AIR INDIA. What is lacking now is the unity in decision making...Though some of the "immature comments" said about travelling by "bullock carts", or adjusting to this "stupid airlines" etc etc: I think, we will be able to make an effect by "neglecting AIR INDIA" for sometime from now.. The people who are used to , habituated to travelling by their "family vehicle" of "bullock carts", let them carry on with that. and let them be happy ("Habituations" and "addictions" are very difficult to treat, you know...)....This should be done without any time frame work and for indefinite period, starting today...I mean, If some private airlines is going to get benefitted out of an AIR INDIA boycott, let them be ! It is better than contributing to a failing airlines, which is on the "downhill course", both in terms of a "government bail out" every year (which is our money, the tax payers' money) or in "terms of the service" provided if we opt for them by chance !

What I could gather from the press reports is that, CM is maintaining a golden silence on the issue. Though, some section of the press do give a version that, the pilot has given a statement in favour of the passengers committing something like "they did not endanger the safety" or so... Anyway, I really feel sympathy for those innocent souls whose reaction was only natural , due to the repeated harassment by an airline, very known for "flash strikes" and "work to rule" attitudes.....

Believe me, only the almighty can save that airlines...

wishing all the members a very happy festival time,

Dear Sirs,

If Keralites call to boycott Air India, I say all the air lines including Air India should boycott the Keralites. No airline should carry any keralites as a passenger. Let them travel by bulk cart, why aroplane? Such type of person thought if they are 'over & above' the 'law & order,' They want to dominate the system of country?

Date: Tuesday, October 23, 2012, 9:23 AM Hi, Sumathy Madam,

Definitely they have responsibility which they did not discharge properly as per you and others.

Could you all not have approached the Consumer Forum/Court instead of remonstrating with the Pilot. Did you want the Pilot to land at Kochi in adverse conditions. Do you people know the Duty timings of Pilots, the number of take offs and landings they could do etc. Also if this had happened with any other Carrier would they have the guts to protest the way they did. I have travelled widely and I have seen how our people behave when abroad, in other part of our own country and when in Kerala. The problem is like someone rightly said we only recognise kerala and keralites and we do not embrace the nation. We want everything separate; we do not want to mingle with others and we wish to show our superiority over others and in the process we actually end up feeling inferior.

Finally could you all not have asked AIE to send you by surface to destination.

Rgds RAM

Dear Friend,

I understand your frustation about Air India but my general comment is that we should not do anything toourselves due to which 'others' can get benefit from it.

So i suggest the members that even if they boycott Air India , they should consider any ohter indian airline instead of non-indian airlines such as gulf or saudi etc. At the end of the way, we have to think about India not any other country so that our own country can get benefit from our travel. Otherwise there will be no difference between us and the politicians :)

thanks for giving me the opportunity to speak.
i am sorry if someone didnt like my comments

Junaid

Hi all,

This refers to few mails / post from few members, asking all expats to BOYCOTT AIR INDIA ...

Believe me......Only ONCE , I had experienced the "comforts" of the famous AIR INDIA...during one of my vocation trips to India...That time flight was unduly delayed, A/C was not working, and the attitude of the staff members to some of the co-passengers was too deplorable and pathetic..

That was the first and the last trip by AIR INDIA...and on all other occasions, even ifI had to pay few extra money for tickets for GULF AIR or SAUDI AIRLINES or ETIHAD AIRWAYS, I had opted for that, rather than choosing AIR INDIA.. On one occasion, when the ticket fares were too high, and theonly option available was AIR INDIA , I cancelled the option of travelling that year.....I thought it was not worth it...

But how many will be thereas adamant as we "boast and post"our slogan to boycott AIR INDIA ? Can we, or are we that mentally strong, as weboast & post in FB or in other columns and groups ? If we unite, it will be reallyworth it... But in spite of boasting like this, don't you think that, we Malayalis are basically"soft hearted" or "weak hearted" thatwe will fall for some HALWA talk by the politicians ?

BOYCOTT all politicians and the so-called AIR INDIA maharaja...They don't deserve our attention ...and do believe me.. I am very proud of saying that I made that very wise decision few years back itself, "not to travel" by AIR INDIA in future.....and I do know few NRIs from Toronto and US who never opt for AIR INDIA...Join the chorus, dear friends and do make it practical.....Don't stop at respecting only our "mudeers" and "kafeels"...START HAVING SOME SELF RESPECT ON OURSELVES....Once we start respecting ourselves, the whole world will start working alright for us.....

so please at least now, start boycotting ALL POLITICIANS and the AIR INDIA .....let it be in India or abroad...let us spread this message far and wide......

wishing all members a very fruitful day ahead,
