They are the world's weirdest and wildest, largest, smallest, squarest and roundest.
They are the cutest, tastiest and, in the case of the bog-snorkellers, quite possibly the most soggy.
And they are among the latest wacky wonders to find a place in the 2012 edition of Guinness World Records.

From Japan, the 13 hounds of the Super Wan Wan Circus have earned plaudits - and the admiration of schoolgirls everywhere - for achieving the most dogs skipping on the same rope.
Not to be outdone by the mutts, meet Stewie, at 48 (and a half) inches the world's longest domestic cat.
In the world of human endeavour, the Guinness collection features student Chanel Tapper, 21, from California, whose 3.8in tongue is the longest on the planet (for a human female).

Christine Walton, 45, from Las Vegas, has the longest fingernails, 10ft 2in on her left hand and 9ft 7in on her right, and Aevin Dugas, 36, from New Orleans, boasts the largest natural afro, with a circumference of 4ft 4in.
One record guaranteed to wreck a hairstyle, no matter its size, is the bog-snorkelling triathlon, which involves the running and cycling of a normal triathlon ? plus a swim in a peat bog.
British brother and sister pair Daniel and Natalie Bent are the world?s fastest.
Another record is that of Mark Byles, of Aylesford, Kent, whose feat is to have made 150 ceramic pots in just an hour.
And if reading about all this record-breaking has worked up your appetite, the largest commercially available pizza is a belt-busting 54in wide.
It costs ?121 from Big Mama?s and Papa?s Pizzeri in Los Angeles, feeds 100 people and, yes, the restaurant does deliver.
