- Keep your word - Say what you mean and mean what you say. Do not make hollow promises. Be true to your word, and keep your promises.
- Speak the truth - Telling one lie leads to another, and lies lead to slow corrosion of moral character.
- Return what you have borrowed - What you have borrowed from others does not belong to you. Give back in a timely manner what you had promised to return, whether it is money, a book, or a cooking pot.
- Be polite and respectful - Respect should be given to one and all at all times. Watch out for how you behave where no one knows you, such as the internet. The anonymity of the internet brings out the true colours in everyone.
- Be loyal - Be a true friend; one who is not only around when the times are good. Do not engage in backbiting and faultfinding.
- Practice restraint - Resist the urge to do whatever the mind desires. Think about the consequences and practice restraint.
