If one goes by History of Humanity one finds that When Humans were in the stone ages and before they were fascinated and feared natural phenomena and natural forces having great powers..Say for instance fire, thunder lightining.Rain Moon, sun etc.Because of the fear and fascination and knowing  the benefits bestowed by these natural forces the early Humans started by worshiping these powers. Thus started worship of natural forces as God, seeking benefits  from their powers .This also brought  into existence the performances of sacrifices and ceremonies to please the natural powers so that they will not stop bestowing the benefits .The prayers and sacrifices' to Rain God to bring the monsoon in time so that agricultural operation will go on smoothly .The worship of Fire so that fire will be there for Human needs and so on and so forth went the human worship. This is how natural powers came to be worshiped as God. With necessity of worship came Priestly class, Later on the priests started dictating and demanded worshiping all natural powers thinking that these natural powers will bestow the benefits without fail on humans if worshiped properly. Another reason is that with the increase in number of Gods to be worshiped the priestly class will get more work and money and could dictate to the society whatever they wanted.
With the development of intelligence and objective thinking the Humans went further and started to investigate the power behind the nature and thus discovered the power pervading all natural powers which gave life to all powers, created, sustained and preserved all powers. This is how Humans started worshiping God. The highest and top most in the evolution and discovery of worship by Humans of their Creator. Now With the discovery of Gods particle by scientific experiments, the concept of God assumes much more significant and real scientifically.
With the worship of God /Almighty, the people started worshiping natural powers also thinking that only if all all minor powers are worshiped things will go on smoothly. As is well established Human beings are the most powerful of all creations and is meant to preserve, sustain and protect Nature to an extend. No wonder Humans started worshiping heroic Humans among themselves. If we go by nowadays ways, it is quite evident that People want others to follow them even though they know that the power they hold and by which they confer benefits to others comes from a higher up. Take the instance of local Sub Inspector of Police. This man wants everyone to go to him and get their grievances settled even if he can't settle the grievance .This in spite of the fact that there is a higher up the Circle inspector who is more powerful and more competent to settle people's grievances. Again an higher up is there say the Dy.S.P who is having more powers than the Circle Inspector. But the sub Inspector will be interested in seeing everyone to be around him and keeps people from going to the Dy.S.P even if necessary so goes things. This actually happens in all cases of powers including that of politicians.
This will exactly happen if we go on worshiping natural powers and powerful human beings including Demons like Kali, Kuttichathan and other natural forces having immense power. If one worships Demons and do things to please them they will bestow benefits as capable and fit for their powers and they will see to it that you be around them, this is what will happen if one go about worshiping other natural powers including Humans. If one worships theses powers  One will go on around them and never reach the upper level of all pervading powerful Godliness and consequent blissfulness. If we worship powers why cant we worship electricity isn't it having enormous power. Its capacity to save life's and also destruct is immense but is nonsense. All powers need not be worshiped
So comrades nothing wrong in worshiping powers the only problem is that one won't get to know God and will go around lesser powers who are all powered by Almighty's grace.  Now days almost all Great Nations of the world practice Secularism. Actually it's a sign of progress .But in India long before Jesus Christ, about more than 600 years before Christ and prophet Mohammed of Islam, secularism was practiced compulsorily as is evident form one of the Iron Pillars of Hindu Kings in North India. Secularism means that the Government will not sponsor a particular religion and people are free to select the mode of their worshiping the God they chose freely and voluntarily. Roman Emperor Justinian sponsored Christianity as the religion of Rome and so Christianity made tremendous progress. Actually if somebody says that one needs a sort of agent to take up ones relations with ones Father or Creator, its absurdity and sounds the death knell of the divinity/sacredness of the relationship. If one cant take up ones problems and ask for advice from ones Father it is detrimental to the closeness and sacredness of the relationship and the relationship between the two cannot be like that of a Father and children. In the same way its futile and false to say that to reach God somebody's guidance and agency is necessary. The only knowledge is how to serve ones Father and keep a close connection with ones Father so as to attain realizations and thrive in life. Worshiping the powers one chose is ones own choice. The highly intelligent chose the ultimate Almighty while the lesser knowledged chose others, may be some chose some powers who are amenable to wickedness and easily amenable to vices and get ruined in the process, never reaching the ultimate. Comrades you are free under secularism to choose the way of worship of your creator's and reap the fruits of your action of choice. God has given the Humans the power of reasoning to choose the best and thrives. Nature is ever ready to give its secrets .Only thing is that you should have the power of perception to perceive the secrets and thrive.

[www.keralites.net] HAPPY VIVEKANANDA JAYANTHI JANUARY 11TH 2015

Swami Vivekanand:- I can't find free time. Life has become hectic.

Ramkrishna Paramahansa:- Activity gets you busy. But productivity gets you free.

Swami Vivekanand:- Why has life become complicated now?

Ramkrishna Paramahansa:- Stop analyzing life.. It makes it complicated.
Just live it.

Swami Vivekanand:- Why are we then constantly unhappy?

Ramkrishna Paramahansa:- Worrying has become your habit. That's why you are not happy.

Swami Vivekanand:- Why do good people always suffer?

Ramkrishna Paramahansa:- Diamond cannot be polished without friction. Gold cannot be purified without fire. Good people go through trials, but don't suffer. With that experience their life becomes better, not bitter.

Swami Vivekanand:- You mean to say such experience is useful?

Ramkrishna Paramahansa:- Yes. In every term, Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first and the lessons afterwards.
Swami Vivekanand:- Because of so many problems, we don't know where we are heading…

Ramkrishna Paramahansa:- If you look outside you will not know where you are heading. Look inside. Eyes provide sight. Heart provides the way.
Swami Vivekanand:- Does failure hurt more than moving in the right direction?

Ramkrishna Paramahansa:- Success is a measure as decided by others. Satisfaction is a measure as decided by you.
Swami Vivekanand:- In tough times, how do you stay motivated?

Ramkrishna Paramahansa:- Always look at how far you have come rather than how far you have to go. Always count your blessing, not what you are missing.

Swami Vivekanand:- What surprises you about people?

Ramkrishna Paramahansa:- When they suffer they ask, "why me?" When they prosper, they never ask "Why me?"
Swami Vivekanand:- How can I get the best out of life?

Ramkrishna Paramahansa:- Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear.

Swami Vivekanand:- One last question. Sometimes I feel my prayers are not answered.

Ramkrishna Paramahansa:- There are no unanswered prayers. Keep the faith and drop the fear. Life is a mystery to solve, not a problem to resolve. Trust me. Life is wonderful if you know how to live.

[www.keralites.net] 5 Things That Really Smart People Do

Don't get in the way of your own learning. Here are five ways to step aside and continue to increase your smarts.

Most people don't really think much about how they learn. Generally you assume learning comes naturally. You listen to someone speak either in conversation or in a lecture and you simply absorb what they are saying, right? Not really. In fact, I find as I get older that real learning takes more work. The more I fill my brain with facts, figures, and experience, the less room I have for new ideas and new thoughts. Plus, now I have all sorts of opinions that may refute the ideas being pushed at me. Like many people I consider myself a lifelong learner, but more and more I have to work hard to stay open minded.

But the need for learning never ends, so your desire to do so should always outweigh your desire to be right. The world is changing and new ideas pop up everyday; incorporating them into your life will keep you engaged and relevant. The following are the methods I use to stay open and impressionable. They'll work for you too. No matter how old you get.

1. Quiet Your Inner Voice

You know the one I am talking about. It's the little voice that offers a running commentary when you are listening to someone. It's the voice that brings up your own opinion about the information being provided. It is too easy to pay more attention to the inner voice than the actual speaker. That voice often keeps you from listening openly for good information and can often make you shut down before you have heard the entire premise. Focus less on what your brain has to say and more on the speaker. You may be surprised at what you hear.

2. Argue With Yourself

If you can't quiet the inner voice, then at least use it to your advantage. Every time you hear yourself contradicting the speaker, stop and take the other point of view. Suggest to your brain all the reasons why the speaker may be correct and you may be wrong. In the best case you may open yourself to the information being provided. Failing that, you will at least strengthen your own argument.

3. Act Like You Are Curious

Some people are naturally curious and others are not. No matter which category you are in you can benefit from behaving like a curious person. Next time you are listening to information, make up and write down three to five relevant questions. If you are in a lecture, Google them after for answers. If you are in a conversation you can ask the other person. Either way you'll likely learn more, and the action of thinking up questions will help encode the concepts in your brain. As long as you're not a cat you should benefit from these actions of curiosity.

4. Find the Kernel of Truth

No concept or theory comes out of thin air. Somewhere in the elaborate concept that sounds like complete malarkey there is some aspect that is based upon fact. Even if you don't buy into the idea, you should at least identify the little bit of truth from whence it came. Play like a detective and build your own extrapolation. You'll enhance your skills of deduction and may even improve the concept beyond the speaker's original idea.

5. Focus on the Message Not the Messenger

Often people shut out learning due to the person delivering the material. Whether it's a boring lecturer, someone physically unappealing, or a member of the opposite political party, the communicator can impact your learning. Even friends can disrupt the learning process since there may be too much history and familiarity to see them as an authority on a topic. Separate the material from the provider. Pretend you don't know the person or their beliefs so you can hear the information objectively. As for the boring person, focus on tip two, three, or four as if it were a game, thereby creating your own entertainment

[www.keralites.net] Real-life fairy tale makes Mumbai vada pav vendor Rs 7 cr richer

Real-life fairy tale makes Mumbai vada pav vendor Rs 7 cr richer
His wife left him with his two kids in tow three years ago, because his meagre earnings of Rs 150 a day were far from sufficient to support the family. Now, Ulhasnagar resident Prem Tejumal Gurudasani (42) is reasonably confident that she will come back. For, if all goes well, the vada pav vendor is going to have a net worth of over Rs 7 crore in just a few months.

Gurudasani, who has lived in acute poverty all his life and has been working as a vada pav vendor for ten years, never even dared to dream that his would be a rags-to-riches story. Living in a 160 sq ft house, which he shares with his brother's family, he never thought that he would turn out to be the part owner of two plots in Kalyan measuring a total of 9.5 acres.

Imagine Gurudasani's surprise, then, when one of the customers at the Sunil Tea Mart in Ambernath told him a few months ago that his grandfather had left him and his siblings two plots in Kalyan one at Wadeghar, measuring 7.5 acres and worth Rs 30 crore, and another at Ashalegaon, measuring 2 acres and worth Rs 5 crore.

Striking gold
The plots were allotted by the Central Government to Gurudasani's grandfather Radhomal Minhomal Chichariya alias Gurudasani (who died on April 19, 1984) after he was displaced from Pakistan post-Partition and was rehabilitated in Ulhasnagar. The local land mafia had usurped the plots by making a woman pose as Radhomal's widow.
As soon as Gurudasani heard about this, he filed various RTI applications and, armed with evidence, registered an FIR with the Bazarpeth police station in Kalyan. Acting on his complaint, the police began a crack down on the mafia and arrested one of the accused, Manoj Chichariya, in connection with the case.

Destiny has taken its course. I hope that justice will prevail and we will get what is rightfully ours," he added. If everything works in Gurudasani's favour, he will get a minimum of Rs 7 crore as his share in the property. "I have an elder sister, who will get 40 per cent of the property since she has brought all of us up. The other three siblings, including me, will get 20 per cent each."
