Re: [www.keralites.net] Who want s air port at Aranmuls

As I understand ,it is a private airport project. Why the hell then someone should be worried about the profit. Kochi airport was not in profit when it started.
Secondly, the LDF govnmt gave clearance for it. When the current Gvnmt trie to pursue it , all hell breaks loose.
Thirdly, it is in an area where large number of NRI's are from; and a large number of tourist destinations are located. Kerala's economy is mostly run by NRI funds and tourist income.
So, Why not give them a convenient facility at their cost.More over, think of the road traffic, time ,money and pollution that is reduced ( presently they have to ply from TVM or Kochi ).
It seems it is a fashion to talk about environment and criticize any project, without studying properly the overall benefit of the project.Ultimately the project will come if there is real need; But only after a number of politician pockets are filled ,years of delay and heavy cost overruns. This is the fate of Kerala today.

Warm regards,
KTA

Unplanned projects without taking into consideration the minds and consensus of the local people is utter waste...It will only lead to land mafia and politicians making money and scams....We have many such small airports in the nation which are not economically viable. People should protest against such projects...

We don't need anymore airports in Kerala. Three International Airports is more enough in a small state like KERALA. Airports are not like KSRTC Bus Stand to be built in each and every District and it is not a common transport media. Why dont all keralites and government could re-think to invest  that money to make that area (same land proposed for airport) for a good Agricultural FARM that could atleast avoid relying on other states for vegetables.

Please please please stop building concrete structures and airports...we need our kerala to be back as gods own country with good climate, nature and food

Dear All,

An airport at Aranmula will not cause national catastropy or damage to the local as people predict. In fact it will creat a large number employment scopes as well as developments in the district. Which of the Kerala airports are construction on desert?  A large percentage of expatriates are from this district and nearby districts. All the factories, IT parks or any other facilities have used or constructed on lands which were previously used for cultivations. The people who don't like Pathanamthitta district development or they may the value or importants of other place may deminish are obstructing this project.

The recent news and reactions from public regarding the proposed Aranmula Air port, raises one simple question.
WHO REALLY NEEDS AN AIRPORT AT ARANMULA?
The Local Aranmula People ?
The Politician ?
The Buissiness class?
UDF or LDF ??
Nothing is clear.
It seems Kerala people are happy with the present Airport facility.
AM I RIGHT ???
IF SO WHO WANTS THIS NEW ONE AT THE COST OF NATURE??

People who don't drink, smoke or gamble
Pretend you're an international super spy on an undercover operation to save the world from an evil maniac with plans to take over the world with a solar-powered satellite laser gun. What is the one accessory you'd need most? The Spy Pen, of course! Each 5 plastic spy pen features ink that is made of special high-brightness compounds that are invisible to the naked eye, but magically illuminate when exposed to a blacklight. Conveniently located on the opposite end of the pen, the blacklight allows you to read any messages left to you by your spy friends. Perfect for writing down secret spy messages, scrawling secret grocery lists, or keeping a catalogue of all of your internet passwords.
If you are really really bored at the office, you could use this jack pot pen. All you have to do is push the top button to release free wheeling windows and see how lucky you can be.
This high tech gadget has enough bells and whistles to make most geeks drool. Twist the metal tip one way and you get a ballpoint pen, twist it the other way and you get a stylus tip for use with PDAs and games. Press the top button to turn on the laser pointer, press the bottom button to cycle through the flashlight and UV light. The flashlight even comes on a flexible rod for precision aiming.
Play Monopoly pinball or write the next great pulitzer prized novel. You decide.
"Write a message and go where no pen has gone before". Each pen writes and blasts off approximately 36 inches from its launch pad. Simply insert and press the pen into the launch base. Push the ignition control button and watch it fly.

It is a pity none thinks about common people.
I don't know what benefit will accrue form the Airport but
what Kerala needs is GOOD QUALITY FOOD GRAIN, BETTER
QUALITY VEGETABLES

I on my visit to Kerala get shocks to see the quality of vegetables and also every thing is sold at a unimaginable price.

Let us come together to produce than build airports.
