What You Need to Know About Joint Pain

Joint pain is a very common complaint, and is often linked to arthritis. According to the Arthritis Foundation, about 27 million people in the United States have this chronic condition, and suffer daily pains in the knees, hips, hands and other parts of the body. It is an almost unavoidable problem and the risk of suffering it increases as time progresses. The joints help connect bones in our body and give us enough flexibility to move them together in different angles. This allows us to make the thousands of little movements we make every day. Any damage to the joints caused by disease or injury can interfere with our movements and cause much discomfort. An injury affecting your ligaments, bursae, or the tendons surrounding your joints can be very dangerous and a source for ongoing pain. Other possible reasons for joint pains are wear and tear, gout, bone infection and cancer. Joint pain can range from mildly irritating to extreme, it can last for a day, a few weeks (acute), or even months (chronic). It's needless to say that even short-term pain and swelling in the joints can have a dramatic impact on your quality of life, not to mention suffering a chronic condition. The biggest problem facing treatment of joint pain is that there are so many possible causes, it's hard to tell which is the best way to treat it.

Current Treatments: First of all, avoid doing any repetitive and strenuous physical activities. Such actions can be very damaging to your joints, that's why so many athletes and those who have hard physical jobs are commonly affected by this disease. Another problem that dramatically increases the risk of joint pain is overweight, which will result in devastating damages to your knees and ankles. so losing weight is often another way to reduce joint pain, even if overweight is not the problem, less weight will put less pressure on the joints. Be sure to keep a low fat diet and talk to an expert nutritionist if you feel that your weight is affecting your joints and causes you pain. Medications and Supplements such as non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are designed to fight the inflammation that contributes to sore joints. The most prominent members of this group of drugs are aspirin, ibuprofen and naproxen. Some topical creams also help, but it's important to note that they will only deal with the joint pain itself and not with the root of the problem.. This is only a temporary fix.  Exercise is crucial for people who suffer from joint pains, it increases strength and flexibility, reduces the pain levels and helps combat muscle and body fatigue. You might think that exercise will only aggravate your joint pain, but it's actually a lack of exercise that can make your joints even more stiff and aching. It's important to consult with a medical or physical professional about the types of exercises that are best for you, based on which joints are involved and what's the source of the pain.

New and Natural Solutions to Joint Pain

Sadly, joint pains are as hard to avoid as they are to treat, but just because it's hard to treat joint pains doesn't mean it's impossible. New advancements in the field of medicine can help deal with the pain and the problems of damaged joints better then ever before. But make sure you pick the right one, that has research and proven results behind it. If you're not sure which to pick, I recommend finding a high-end relief solution that treat all types of joint pain by reducing inflammation and boosting body performance.  Joint pain isn't going away any time soon, and as we get older the wear and tear that we put on our joints becomes greater, and the pain more severe. Current techniques mostly take care of the pain, not the actual problem, while some new and natural solutions are showing promise. I hope this, like some other chronic conditions, will one day become a thing of the past.

WORST MAKEUP MISTAKES OF WOMEN

Applying foundation lighter than the original skin tone in order to look fairer can actually make you look grey.

Firstly, love your complexion and choose an appropriate colour of the foundation matching the skin tone. 

Picking on lip colours in vogue not matching the skin tone is not right. In fact, 

doing anything to your face or body just because its cool is bad.

Every girl is frenzied in her quest for beauty on a daily basis. Whether it is a regular day at office or an evening out with friends, perfect skin and hair is a bare necessity. In the pursuit of perfection, there are some common beauty blunders that you must avoid.

Ditch Dryness

Do not apply makeup on dry and flaky skin. Putting on foundation over dry skin can genuinely be horrific. The foundation will colour the dry areas and make the face look blotted. Instead, exfoliate regularly, smoothen your face with a rich moisturizer everyday.

Foundation Force

Applying foundation lighter than the original skin tone in order to look fairer can actually make you look grey. Firstly, love your complexion and choose an appropriate colour of the foundation matching the skin tone. Blend it properly with a suitable lotion on the face and the neck. If you miss out on the neck, then you will end up looking two toned in photos.

Eerie Eye

We all want well-groomed eyebrows but make sure you take professional help to get the perfect shape and never tweeze too much. Get a very light concealer to hide your dark circles. Blend the concealer with the base colour and apply it under your eyes. 
-Avoid red eye shadow as it can end up looking neon in pictures. Blend it with gold if required.
-Frosty shades like pink, blue can make it appear puffy and swollen up. Don't wear the entire colour palette on your eyes since using more than three shades at a time is dreadful.
-Don't clump the eyelashes with an old or too much of mascara.

Lip Love

Picking on lip colours in vogue not matching the skin tone is not right. In fact, doing anything to your face or body just because its cool is bad. Be choosy about the colours that go on your lips and the look. 
-Putting a darker lip liner than the shade of the lipstick or harshly lining the lips looks awkwardly mature. 
-Don't try to plump up your lips to get a pout like Priyanka Chopra because you might end up missing it by a mile.

Glitter!

Glitter is not for anyone over 14 years old. Don't confuse glitter with shimmer because picking on products that add mild shimmer to your look is okay! Also, when using shimmer, don't use it on more than one area at a time. Shimmery eyes, sparkly cheeks or shiny lip-gloss, only one thing works at a time. Don't go nuts with shimmer in the evenings and it's a big no during the day.

If you haven't done a professional makeup course or a little workshop on dos and don'ts of makeup, consider it now. There is nothing to fear at all because most women learn makeup with age. If you are guilty of any of the above blunders, fix it now!

Apropos Mr Sam Ramani's ( who is living in the US for the last 50

years or so) mail in which he states that more and more Westerners

are taking to Vegetarian Diet is quite true. While it can be said that some

of the Americans and Europeans are shunning Meat and Meat products,

the same cannot be said of Indians particularly South Indian Brahmins. 

Many of the younger generation Pattars especially the Bachelors in the US

have taken a fancy to Meat eating and  are abandoning Vegetarian food.

The numbers are increasing alarmingly.

With so many Indian Restaurants and Grocery Shops around the US it is not

impossible to survive on a Vegetarian diet.  Firstly, however, one has to know how

to prepare the dishes and secondly one has to spend at least one to one and half hours

to rustle up one main and one side dish.

It will be interesting to note that even Gujaratis living in these places, who are  mostly

Vegetarians at best are consuming Meat,

Therefore, Mr Ramani's claim of more and more Indians abroad and even here turning to

Vegetarianism is far fetched.

There is an organisation called World Vegetarian Council/ Congress which

is in the forefront exhorting people to turn to Vegetarian food.  This

organisation is existing for a long time and it is engaged in propagating

the benefits of consuming Vegetarian food to the World at large.  They

also hold Regular Conference every year in one of the Global Cities where many Vegetarians

participate.
