Re: [www.keralites.net] 90% of Indians are 'idiots', Markandey Katju says

I support the words but it is only 40% correct. what about the worst politics and its side effects in India. The most worst thing which is preventing our progress is the politics. All the parties are same in this case. New strong rules and guidelines to be established to register a political party. All Trade unions to be cancelled and to be converted to NGO unions to serve the community and nation. Nowadays these Buffalos are ruining our nation by strike / bribe / kozha / illegal trades and and and. Anybody from any political party (left or right) engaged to any such cases should be given strong punishment to get lesson to others. There is no mercy to be given based on his strength in politics. All political / trade / any other union should not be profit motivated but should service motivated.

I am not against the freedom of people but it is going from worse to worst by daily. Age limit to work in politics to be given as pensioner. Minimum qualification to participate in election to be a master degree (education). One who candidated two times could not to participate in election again.

If we clean our country from the bad politics we will get below:

A fast growth of the country
Our Rivers / Hills / Paddy fields / nature will be safe.
Our kids will be safe
Our Roads / public properties / government owned lands and properties will be safe
Our natural resources will be safe (will not go to Reliance)
Our people will be happy
It should decrease the difference between poor and rich (now it is going to both ends ie: < poor - Rich >))
Our media will raise their voice to say the truth
Our farmers will get good price for their products.
Our country will be safe from foreign invaders (retail trade).
All robbers / Gangsters will stay away from their actions (fear in strong punishments)
Our court can judge without fear of politicians (madani Vs modi).
We can sleep in homes by seeing sweet dreams.
and

I sincerely hope this will open the eyes of both Muslim Indians & Hindu Indians including the Christian Indians.

No matter what religion you may belong remember you are still an Indian, our strength lies in our unity.
It is a fact that religion has divided us and we don't trust each other anymore and bent on killing each other.
Some misguided elements are instrumental in making emotional and hatred speeches which eventually becomes the focal point for riots just as DR.Markandey Katju said being fools/idiots.
Let us come out of this maya.

New Delhi: Ninety per cent of Indians are "idiots" who can easily be misled by mischievous elements in the name of religion, Press Council of India (PCI) chairperson Justice Markandey Katju claimed on Saturday.

"I say ninety per cent of Indians are idiots. You people don't have brains in your heads ... It is so easy to take you for a ride," he said at a seminar.

He said that a communal riot could be incited in Delhi for as meagre an amount as Rs 2000. He said that all somebody has to do is make a mischievous gesture of disrespect to a place of worship and people start fighting each other. "You mad people will start fighting amongst yourself not realizing that some agent provocateur is behind this," he said. Katju said that before 1857 there was no communalism in the country but the situation was different now.

"Today 80% Hindus are communal and 80% Muslims are communal. This is the harsh truth, bitter truth that I am telling you. How is it that in 150 years you have gone backwards instead of moving forward because the English kept injecting poison," Katju said. "The policy that emanated from London after the mutiny in 1857 that there is only one way to control this country that is to make Hindus and Muslims fight each other," he said.

He said that then there was propaganda that Hindi was the language of Hindus and Urdu of Muslims. "Our ancestors also studied Urdu, but it is so easy to fool you. You are idiots so how difficult is it to make an idiot of you," Katju said.

Katju said that he was saying these harsh things to make Indians, whom he loved to understand the whole game and not remain fools.

[www.keralites.net] Time Does Not Stop And So Is The Life

During the office coffee break a couple of days back I was looking the highway from the 34th Floor of my office and noticed hundreds of cars passing at a high speed every minute. I pondered that each of these passengers is in different mood right now. Someone belonging to Country-A might be sad because of some tragic incident, someone from country-B is stressed due to his/her financial issues, someone might be happy because his/her mother/spouse is coming to him/her and so on. However, for most of these people the current state will not be the same by tomorrow. The person who is in crisis today may become happy by tomorrow. The one who is happy today might be more delightful and the one who is stuck in a situation today might get out of it by tomorrow. That means, overall, millions of stories are taking birth on earth each day and millions of stories are dying. Article written by Junaid.Tahir

From my 3-5 minutes thought process I learnt a very nice lesson that no matter how bad is the situation, the time will pass. So next time I am in stress, I would visualize the highway and think that I am not alone in this situation. I would think that if millions of people are passing through such stages and recovering why should I take stress on my heart. Just like all those drivers, I must keep driving in the right lane and I shall reach my destination. The definition of right lane might be different for different kind of scenarios but the basic concept is same that when you have issues, you must meet the issues with courage, greet them with wow approach, treat them with wisdom and defeat them with strategy.

[www.keralites.net] How to Create the Ultimate Habit of Happiness

How to Create the Ultimate Habit of Happiness

Do you think happiness is a state that only a few can achieve?

I think Happiness is your birth right, it is available to each and every one of us.

But if this is true why does it elude so many?

It eludes so many of us because our habits dont support a life of harmony and happiness. I have heard it said that our collective habits determine the quality of our lives, in that case we need to ensure that our habits are positive and help us work towards creating an overall habit of happiness

There are many constructive habits that will help bring us more joy

  1. The Act of Gratitude
Any time you spend giving thanks and appreciating all that you have in life is time that will be misery free. It is very difficult to feel low or depressed when feeling grateful.
  2. Doing what you love
Spending each day doing what you love will ensure a more meaningful life. According to Scott Dinsmore, of Live Your Ledgend, in his TEDX talk
How to Find and Do Work You Love 80% of people work in jobs they dont enjoy.
  3. Exercise
Exercise has a multitude of benefits, health, well being, mood, increases energy and helps you to sleep better. Fit people are more productive and generally happier.
  4. Living in the Moment
Practicing the art of mindfulness is another sure-fire way to be happier. Living in the moment eradicates any future worries or past regrets.
  5. Helping others
Another tried and tested manner to create more happiness, giving is just as powerful as receiving. Those who live helping others have a greater sense of purpose and live more meaningful lives.
  6. Nurturing Positive Thoughts
So many people forget that their thoughts are within their own control and allow negative thoughts to overtake their minds. If you want to live a happy and successful life you cannot afford a negative thought.
  7. Smiling
Apparently smiling releases serotonin, a chemical that makes us happy. Smiling even when we dont really feel it will have the same effect.

While we know that all of these things contribute to our overall happiness why are so many of us still going around miserable?
