Healthy juices do not only help you to stay fit, but also keep your weight in control. Healthy juices provide different nutrients to your body. To stay healthy and well-toned, you can combine a regular workout regime
with a healthy diet. You can add fruit and vegetable juices in your daily diet. Check out 9 healthy juices to try, which will supply minerals and vitamins to your body and will boost your immune system, making you more strong and active.

1. Dates, apple and papaya juice

Take 4 or 5 dates, 1 papaya, and 1 apple. Wash apple and papaya, pit the dates and blend these ingredients in a blender. This is one of the healthiest juices to try!


2. Orange and grapefruit juice

Take 3 oranges and 1 grapefruit. Use a good juicer for your grapefruit and oranges. Combine two juices, add some cracked ice and enjoy this healthy juice recipe. Orange and grapefruit juice is high in vitamin C, and can help you lose weight. It makes your skin younger and healthier.


3. Carrot, celery and apple juice


Take 2 carrots, 2 or 3 apples, 2 celery sticks, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Wash carrots thoroughly, peel or scrub them and cut them into pieces. Use an apple corer to core the apples and wash them in running water. Now put the celery,
carrots and apples in a mixer and add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Make
sure everything is blended properly, and then pour juice in a glass and
add cracked ice. This is a refreshing and low calorie juice!

4. Vegetable juice

Take 2 celery, 2 or 3 carrots, 2 beets, half a cabbage, 3 kale leaves, half an onion, 2 or 3 garlic cloves, some parsley, half spinach bunch, and 1 turnip. Wash everything in
running water, boil vegetables and blend them. Wait until it cools down
and enjoy this juice. This healthy juice detoxifies your body. You can
have it as a soup too. Just add some spices and serve it hot.

5. Apple, carrot, beetroot, cucumber and celery juice


Take 1 apple, 4 to 5 carrots, half a cucumber, half a beetroot, and 1 celery. Wash all these items in running water and peel them. Now chop and blend them. To make your juice a little spicier you can add some ginger.

6. Orange, banana, strawberry and grapefruit juice


Take out grapefruit and orange juice using a citric fruit juicer. Pour the juice in a mixer and throw some strawberries and one banana
into it. Blend all the ingredients well and serve chilled.

7. Beet and carrot juice

Take one peeled and half boiled beetroot and 7 or 8 carrots. Now take 4 leaves of lettuce and blend all the ingredients together. Its so tasty and so healthy!

8. Orange and strawberry juice


This is one of my favorite juices! Take 1 cup orange juice, half cup strawberries, half lemon, and blend all these items. Pour the juice in a glass, add some ice and enjoy!

9. Melon juice


Take 2 cups cubed cantaloupe, 2 cups cubed watermelon, 2 cups cubed honeydew melon and 1 inch grated ginger. Blend all these ingredients and add some ice to them. This juice is great for warm or hot days.

Vitamin D prevents osteoporosis, depression, prostate cancer, breast cancer,and even effects diabetes and obesity. 

Vitamin D is perhaps the single most underrated nutrient in the world of nutrition. That's probably because it's free: your body makes it when sunlight touches your skin. 
 

Fifteen facts that are important to know about vitamin D and sunlight exposure:
 
1. Vitamin D is produced by your skin in response to exposure to ultraviolet radiation from natural sunlight. 
 
2. The healing rays of natural sunlight (that generate vitamin D in your skin) cannot penetrate glass. So you don't generate vitamin D when sitting in your car or home. 

3. It is nearly impossible to get adequate amounts of vitamin D from your diet. Sunlight exposure is the only reliable way to generate vitamin D in your own body. 
 
4. A person would have to drink ten tall glasses of vitamin D fortified milk each day just to get minimum levels of vitamin D into their diet. 

5. The further you live from the equator, the longer exposure you need to the sun in order to generate vitamin D. Canada, the UK and most U.S. States are far from the equator. 

6. People with dark skin pigmentation may need 20 - 30 times as much exposure to sunlight as fair-skinned people to generate the sam e amount of vitamin D. That's why prostate cancer is epidemic among black men - it's a simple, but widespread, sunlight deficiency. 
 
7. Sufficient levels of vitamin D are crucial for calcium absorption in your intestines. Without sufficient vitamin D, your body cannot absorb calcium,rendering calcium supplements useless. 

8. Chronic vitamin D deficiency cannot be reversed overnight: it takes months of vitamin D supplementation and sunlight exposure to rebuild the body's bones and nervous system.

As per the Hindu tradition, Sun is considered Holy and divine as it supports life on Earth. In the ancient times our ancestors used to start their day by greeting the Sun and welcoming the new day in their life. It is mainly involves a procedure of 12 postures which are repeated as per the person's stamina. Performing regular Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation) in the morning can enhance a person's physical health and overall well being. It corrects your posture, stretches muscles and lets you inhale the freshness of the morning breeze.

Steps of Suryanamaskar

Surya Namaskara Step 1: Stand straight facing the sun while balancing your weight equally on both feet which are joined together. While breathing in, fold your hands in prayer.
Surya Namaskara Step 2. Feel the warmth of the sun while chanting 'Om Suryadevaya Namah' thrice. While breathing in, take your folded hands up towards the sky. Bend backwards and make an arch from your hands to feet. Pushing the pelvic a little forward reach out to the sky with the tips of your fingers rather than bending.
Surya Namaskara Step 3. While breathing out, slowly bring your hands down and bend simultaneously bend to touch the either side of your feet. Make sure that you do not bend your knees and keep your head as close to them as possible.
Surya Namaskara Step 4. While breathing in push your right leg back as far as possible and look up.
Surya Namaskara Step 5. While breathing in take the leg back parallel to the right one and bring your body to a straight line.
Surya Namaskara Step 6. While breathing out, bring your knees to slightly touch the ground and raise your hips slightly while resting your chest and chin on the ground. While raising your posterior make sure that eight points of your body touch the ground (palms, feet, knees, chest and chin).
Surya Namaskara Step 7. While sliding forward, inhale and look up (shoulders away from the ears).
Surya Namaskara Step 8. Breath out and lift your hips as high as possible (if possible keep your heels touched to the ground)
Surya Namaskara Step 9. While breathing in bring your left leg forward in between hands, ensuring that your right calf is perpendicular to the ground. Pushing your hips down look up to the sky.
Surya Namaskara Step 10. Exhaling, bring your left foot forward beside the right one. While keeping your hands on the ground, slide up such that your nose touches your knees.
Surya Namaskara Step 11. Inhaling roll your spine up, let your folded hands go up towards the sky and stretch backwards making an arch (stretch up rather than backwards).
Surya Namaskara Step 12. While straightening your body exhale and bring your hands down. While relaxing observe and feel the sensations in your body.
Bring these 12 postures of Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation) in your life and have a healthy body and soothed mind.

20 Treatments for Lowering Fever


A fever is when the body's temperature rises beyond what is healthy. This can be caused by infection or disease of certain types. Although there are times when it's best to let the body deal with it, a fever is an uncomfortable thing to say the least. So before you run out and get those pills, here are some natural remedies that have been sworn to work:
 

 
1. Take 7-8 leaves of basil and 3-4 grains of black pepper and chew them together. The two spices are very good at lowering fever.

2. Soak basil leaves in boiling water and drink 3-4 times a day, until the fever comes down.

3. In a pot of water, mix a half spoon of cinnammon, 2 seeds of cardamom and two spoons of ginger powder. Bring to a boil, filter and drink.

4. Make a warm bath and add a few drops of vinegar. 

5. Dip a towel in hot water, squeeze and put on your head. Wet the towel from time to time.

6. It's important to drink a lot of water during a fever, but we recommend boiling them first to prevent further contamination.

7. Drink a glass of milk, and better if it's whipped. You can whip it so: Take two glasses and pour milk to one, pass the milk between the glass vertically. Do so several times until it is whipped and then drink.

8. At night, go to sleep with warm clothes and a warm blanket. During sleep you may sweat, but don't take off the blanket. You need to let the body sweat. You'll need to keep drinking water over the night so as not to dehydrate, but it will help the fever come down. This works because the sweat expunges toxins from the body, so the more you sweat, the quicker you'll heal.

9. Mix 4-5 cups of vinegar and 2 cups of luke warm water in a bowl. Dip a clean towel in the bowl and squeeze it. Tie the strap of cloth around your ankle.

10. Crush two teeth of garlic and mix with 2 table spoons of olive oil. Heat the mix and spread of both feet. Wrap with plastic wrap and stay like this for the night. Stay with it for an hour after you feel the fever come down.

11. Cut a potato into slices and dip each slice in vinegar for 10 minutes. Put the slices on your forhead and put a towel on top.

12. Drink a brew of boiling water with lemon, honey and ginger, several times a day.

13. Put half an onion on each ankle and tie with cloth.

14. Wear warm clother and bundle up well. Boil water in a bowl and soak your feet for 20 minutes. Don't stop because you're sweating, because it's crucial for your fever drop. Just remember to drink lots of water.

15. Mix lemon juice with olive oil and smear it on your body.

16. Dip a pair of soaks in white vinegar and put them on. Wrap the body in a warm blanket and rest.

17. Mix half a spoon of saffron in a glass of boiling water. Let it cool and take a spoon from the saffron mix every hour until the fever comes down.

18. Mix water and vinegar in equal amounts. Dip a cotton ball in the mix, squeeze and put on your forehead for several minutes.

19. Eat an orange. An orange gives you immediate energy, it makes you pee and stregthens the immune system. The grapefruit also has anti-feverish advantages, and so it is also recommended to mix half a cup of grapefruit juice with water and drink.

20. Eat green vegetables to detox your body, and avoid fatty or spicy foods that can elevate your temperature.
