There are laws of nature.
There are the fundamental physical and chemical laws according to which all material things such as a grain of sand or the biggest star behaves. The Church boasted that these laws are not tenable. However evidence won against dogma.
Similarly the church opposed evolution and so many things; but the Church lost out in the face of irrefutable evidence.
In like manner, there are economical laws such as the law of supply and demand, the Malthusian doctrine etc. These laws operate only where there are people who exchange goods. Governments can control them for short periods of time.
But in the long run these laws will return to haunt them. Thus various communist governments tried to enforce their own policies which went against fundamental economical laws and we see what has happened to these countries who tried to contravene the forces of economics.
Thus in India, the govt enacted heavy taxes on gold and sugar. The result was smuggling and black marketing. So we had to withdraw these heavy duties since we cannot resist the forces of economics.
Similarly many countries including the mighty US tried to enforce prohibition. The result was the growth of the Mafia. Ultimatedly they were forced to withdraw the irrational controls against the will of the people.
Then there are political laws which are often controlled by the laws of economics. Thus every man wants a political system which he perceives is the best for him.
In the past there were theories like the divine right of kings which went against fundamental political forces. Then there were large empires like those of Egypt, Greece, Rome, Persia, Mongolia, Britain etc. All of them thought that these empires were eternal. But the fundamental forces of politics have razed all these empires which thought they wereinvincible.
Most of the scriptures taught that slavery and caste systems were eternal, because slavery and caste are in tune with an agricultural economy which needs more brawn than brains. But with the Industrial revolution came an educated working class which cannot be enslaved or suppressed. So we have democracy which is in tune with an industrial economy.
Now we have a digital, globalized economy which does not need large territories for markets and raw material sources as in the Industrial age. However habits die hard and we are stuck with the political ideas of nationalism and integrity which were needed for an industrial economy.
In this age of mass media it is a matter of time before a man  in Mangolia has his say in what happens in India. We have already seen this in these times of Covid-19 in which other countries have criticized China for its wanton acts.
We hear that we got independence though our freedom struggle and that South Africa got its independence because of Mandela and their efforts. However the fact is that it was world opinion that forced the ruling powers to give in to the will of the people of India and South Africa. World opinion is a great force in the modern world and it is a matter of time before it forces India to bow to the will of the people whether we like it or not. - Xavier William

Xavier,

You have at all moved on to a topical issue instead harping on the VEDAS crap.

The Kashmir issue is highly serious and UK's Labour Party has got it all wrong.

So the Muslims rightly objected & warned the new Labour leader (Starmer), a raw fellow.

I promptly tweeted the older leader Corbyn on the Muslim stand.

[www.keralites.net] : BLACK TEA SIDE EFFECTS YOU SHOULD BE AWARE OF

Hands that serve are Holier than Lips that Pray

Thinking of evading boredom and gaining energy, the word 'tea' pops up in your mind. After water, tea is possibly the second most popular drink in the world. Today, there are different types of teas available in the market – granular, leaf, lemon tea, black tea, brick tea and even tea bags. Black tea consists of the different ingredients – caffeine, fluoride, glucuronic and lactic acid, manganese, potassium, tannin, purines, xanthine and gallic esters. When black tea first came into the market in 1827, it was considered to be a new substance and people called it theine. Its effects were quite identical to coffee and contained the same components as in coffee; since then, the word theine was given up.
For those who need to stay up late, a cup of black tea is a good thing to opt for. It accelerates the reaction time and boosts your alertness or overall concentration. This increase in alertness is the direct consequence of the stimulation of the respiratory and cardiac systems of the body; this enhances the circulation of oxygen in your body. It's also effective in losing excessive weight. Controlling your regular appetite, it'll curb your tendency to eat more in your daily life. What's more, it's an excellent way to keep away cancer. Nevertheless, excessive consumption of black tea results in a lot of side effects.
Dieticians constantly warn against excessive consumption of caffeine as they cause undesirable side-effects like insomnia, breathing troubles and increased pulse rate. Here are a few common side effects of black tea intake in excess.Black Tea Side Effects                              1. Diarrhoea:
Caffeine is the basic ingredient of black tea; so, if you consume it on a daily basis, it can result in diarrhoea. The reason behind this is that caffeine stimulates your digestive system. Therefore, if you drink this tea in excess, it can have a negative effect on your heath. What's more, it has a direct effect on your central nervous system and makes you feel nervous at little incidents. Consuming black tea in huge doses can result in digestive issues, insomnia, varicose veins and palpitations. In short, it excites your nervous system.

2. Constipation:

Well, this is something unexpected but it happens. The reason behind this is that black tea consists of tannins. The presence of this substance help your body store precipitate and offers other health benefits as well. Nevertheless, excessive consumption of black tea can cause constipation in your body. The reason behind this is that your body starts storing a lot of waste products.

3. Disturbed stomach:

As said earlier, black tea contains caffeine; so, once these elements reach your stomach, it causes your stomach to produce various acidic substances, which are not easy for your body to absorb. Thus, your stomach starts feeling uneasy or uncomfortable. What's more, if you're a patient suffering from stomach ulcer or cancer, black tea is a strict no.
[ R
Black tea is highly restricted for patients recovering from heart attacks or acute cardiovascular disorders – paroxysmal tachycardia or cardiac asthma being the most common of them all. Caffeine is highly prohibited or undesirable for your cardiovascular system. It is also contradicted for people with gastritis or gastric ulcers – both takes place due to increased acidity.
[
According to health professionals, pregnant women should not drink more than two cups of black tea in a day. Since black tea is loaded with caffeine, it increases the hazards of miscarriage. This high caffeine content can also have a negative effect on people with cardiovascular disorders, glaucoma, high blood pressure and anxiety disorders. In comparison to other types of teas, black tea is loaded with the maximum caffeine content and is possibly due to the way it's processed.
These are the black tea benefits and side effects. Hope the article was informative. So, please keep in mind the dark side of black tea the next time you crave for a black tea. However, limited consumption of black tea provides a lot of benefits.

 Common Adulterants/Contaminants
in food and Simple screening tests for their detection

Adulteration in food is normally present in its most crude form, prohibited substances are either added or partly or wholly substituted..  In India normally the contamination/adulteration in food is done either for financial gain or due to carelessness and lack in proper hygienic condition of processing, storing, transportation and marketing. This ultimately results that the consumer is either cheated or often become victim of diseases. Such types of adulteration are quite common in developing countries or backward countries. However, adequate precautions taken by the consumer at the time of purchase of such produce can make him alert to avoid procurement of such food. It is equally important for the consumer to know the common adulterants and their effect on health.
