There is one more in the middle of the two that is keech mooch Madhyamam.
The consciousness to be shifted from the lower to the higher planes. If this is done "APANA VAYU" can be raised to the "UDANAN" via "SAMANAN".
This can also be called the Art of SUBLIMATION.
Materialistic pleasures are essential for life but they are not the life by itself. They are just part of life. For example a drunkard does many work through out the day but keep thinking of the drink all through the activities that he has been discharging through out the day. This is addiction. The impulse to drink runs in his sub conscious mind through out the day what ever activity that he performs. Scheduling ones activity will be very useful in disciplining our selves. Indulging in satisfying the baser instincts without any discretion to place and time is not correct.
"Twilight hours are considered to be the time of the rakshasaas and ghosts,
demons like hiranyakashipu and hiranyaaksh were born because their motherconceived during evening hours. Day time too should be avoided for same reason.
Best time is atleast about 4-5 hours after sunset, ie late night."
The karma being formed as sediments and called as "VASANAS". Untimely indulgence will kindle such feelings at inappropriate times. Excessive indulgence and Scanty indulgence both are not good and leads to deceases. Mithaharam, Mitha bojanam, Mitha bashanam ....... will serve good to the humanity.
Practicing Mano, Vak and Kaya sudhi will be beneficial. "Achamanam" is a very simple karma which gives thrikarana sudhi. Helpful to Ladies as well. Regulation of food habits, Chanting Namas or Slokas will do immense good. Nama chanting will keep the consciousness at a higher level. Doing nithya karma and simple sooktha parayanam ( the power of manthra sabdham is such that it takes the consciousness to a very higher levels), listening to Veda Parayanam all will be very helpful. Sahsranama Parayanam is one among them.
Garlic will induce "keezh swasam" where as pepper induce the "Udanan". Taking small quantities of Ashta choornam and lukewarm water will give relief. Fiber rich food is better. Once in every fifteen days Upavasam on Shashti, Ekadasi or Pradosham gives rest to the intestines. Every day practice to keep the mind free of thoughts and adopt silence for few minutes. One should develop deep interest in other activities like Sports, Music, Bajan, Dance, Reading, Philosophy, Research, Sath katha srvanam ..... For few minutes Break from the routine work, being with Nature for some time, shuffling the activities, stroll through the corridor, bending and stretching are some of the tips that can be practised.
With kind regards,
Prabhu
