You are right.This is not an exception, all Mutual Funds are in India are like this. I also deposited Rs.300,000/- as two policies in Aviva Insurance,Kochi, through Cenchurian Bank of Panjb, Thoppumpadi branch. After three years they don't gave the balance sheet and so I don't paid the next installment. After 4 years the policies were auto surrendered and I got the surrender value  of  Rs.254,000/- only for the two  policies.( one 123,000/- and the other 131,000/-)
