A man was in court for a double murder, andthe judgesaid, "You are charged withbeatingyour wife to death witha hammer."

A voice atthe backof thecourtroomyelled out, "You bastard!"

The judgecontinued, "You are also charged withbeatingyour mother-in-law to death witha hammer."

Again, the voice atthe backof thecourtroomyelled out, "You damned bastard!"

The judgestopped, looked at theman inthebackof thecourtroom, and said, "Sir, I can understand your anger andfrustrationat this crime,

butI will nothave any more of these outburstsfrom you, or I shall charge you with contempt! Now is that a problem?"

The man atthe backof the court stood up and responded,

"For fifteen years, I have livednext doorto that b------d, and every time I asked to borrowa hammer, he said he never had one!"
