when any passenger applies thru emirates many visa regulations are relaxed and if the OUTBOUND journey is thru emirates then STOPOVERS ( planned by passenger/ the airline) which can extend for a period of max 48 hours
allows the passenger to enter the city limits of dubai during the period of the stopover period as for the CONNECTIONS if the applicant has a travel plan to travel beyond the airlines home city (in this case dubai)
visa applications to UAE is not valid , though the airline will automatically issue a tourist visa (validity decided as travel requirements)
