[www.keralites.net] Bunny story

 

A man is driving along a highway and sees a rabbit jump out across the middle of the road. 
He swerves to avoid hitting it, but unfortunately
the rabbit jumps right in front of the car. 

The driver, a sensitive man as well as an animal lover, pulls over and gets out to see what has become of the rabbit.
Much to his dismay, the rabbit is the Easter Bunny, and he is DEAD .
 The driver feels so awful   that he begins to cry. 
A beautiful blonde woman driving down the highway sees a man crying on the side of the road and pulls over.


She steps out of the car and asks the man what's wrong. 
 "I feel terrible," he explains,
"I accidentally hit the Easter
Bunny with my car and KILLED HIM." 
 The blonde says, "Don't worry."

She runs to her car and pulls out a spray can. She walks over to the limp, dead  Easter Bunny, bends down, and sprays the contents onto him. 
 The  Easter Bunny jumps up, waves its paw at the two of them and hops off down the road.
Ten feet away he stops, turns around and waves again, he hops down the road another 10 feet, turns and waves, 
hops another ten feet, turns and waves, and repeats this again and again and again and again, until he hops out of sight.

The man is astonished.
He runs over to the woman and demands, "What is in that can?
What did you spray on the Easter Bunny?" 
 The woman turns the can around so that the man can read the label.
 It says..
 (Are you ready for this?)

(Are you sure?)

[www.keralites.net] Salty Lassi for Hot Summer

The Traditional Lassi is a salty yogurt drink which is a thicker consistency than that of buttermilk. It can be spiced with various spices and ingredients, but it almost always includes ground cumin powder. Here are two types of Savory Lassi- one the classic plain lassi and the second with a Mint twist. It's extremely easy and quick to make not to mention very refreshing and cooling to beat the heat of Summer.

Salty Lassi(Serves 4)

3 cups plain yogurt
1 cup cold water.
1 fresh green chili, seeded and very finely chopped
tsp ground cumin
salt and pepper to taste
Fresh cilantro(coriander)or mint leaves to decorate
Crushed ice to serve

Method

Pour the yogurt and water into blender for 1 min.
Add in the chili, cumin, season to taste with salt and pepper and bled together
Serve over crushed ice
Garnish with a sprinkle of cumin powder and finely chopped cilantro (coriander)or mint.

സ്വര്‍ഗത്തില്‍ നാല്‌ തവണ!

 

സ്വര്‍ഗമെന്ന്‌ കേള്‍ക്കാത്തവര്‍ ആരും കാണില്ല. എന്നാല്‍ ആരെങ്കിലും അവിടെ പോയിട്ടുളളതായി അറിവുണ്ടോ? നാല്‌ തവണ സ്വര്‍ഗത്തില്‍ സന്ദര്‍ശനം നടത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്‌ എന്ന അവകാശവാദവുമായി ഇതാ ഒരാള്‍ രംഗത്ത്‌ എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്കയിലെ ക്വാസുലു-നതാല്‍ സ്വദേശിയായ സിബസിസോ എംതേബു എന്നയാളാണ്‌ നാല്‌ തവണ സ്വര്‍ഗത്തില്‍ സന്ദര്‍ശനം നടത്തിയിട്ടുളളത്‌! താന്‍ പറയുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ മറ്റുളളവര്‍ക്ക്‌ വ്യക്‌തമായി മനസ്സിലാവാന്‍ വേണ്ടി എംതേബു സ്വര്‍ഗത്തിന്റെ ഭൂപടവും വരച്ചു തുടങ്ങി!

1993 ല്‍ ഒരു മാലാഖ തന്നെ സന്ദര്‍ശിച്ചതാണ്‌ തന്റെ സ്വര്‍ഗ സന്ദര്‍ശനത്തിന്‌ കാരണമാവുന്നത്‌ എന്ന്‌ എംതേബു പറയുന്നു. ആദ്യത്തെ സന്ദര്‍ശനം 1998 ല്‍ ആയിരുന്നു. പിന്നീട്‌, 2004, 2006, 2008 എന്നീ വര്‍ഷങ്ങളിലും എംതേബു സ്വര്‍ഗത്തില്‍ പോയത്രെ! മൊത്തം 11 സ്വര്‍ഗങ്ങളാണ്‌ ഉളളത്‌. അഞ്ചാം സ്വര്‍ഗമായ 'ക്രിസ്‌റ്റ'യിലാണ്‌ ആദ്യം സന്ദര്‍ശനം നടത്തിയത്‌ എന്നും അവിടെ 'ഷാര്‍മണി' എന്ന നഗരത്തില്‍ വച്ച്‌ ജീസസിനെ കണ്ടു എന്നും ഇദ്ദേഹം അവകാശപ്പെടുന്നു. ശാലേം എന്ന പ്രധാന നഗരത്തിലാണത്രെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്‌ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്‌. ദൈവം യുവാവാണ്‌ എന്നും താരതമ്യേന വെളുത്ത നിറമാണ്‌ എന്നും എംതേബു വിശദീകരിക്കുന്നു.

മെയില്‍ ലോകാവസാനം സംഭവിക്കും എന്ന പ്രവചനങ്ങള്‍ പൂര്‍ണമായും തെറ്റാണെന്ന്‌ പറയാന്‍ സാധിക്കില്ല എന്നാണ്‌ എംതേബു പറയുന്നത്‌. സ്വര്‍ഗ സന്ദര്‍ശനത്തിനിടെ താന്‍ പങ്കെടുത്ത ഒരു കൂടിക്കാഴ്‌ചയില്‍ സാത്താനെതിരെയുളള യുദ്ധം മെയ്‌ 23 ന്‌ ആരംഭിക്കാന്‍ തീരുമാനിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്‌. അതിനാല്‍, അന്ത്യദിനത്തിന്റെ കൗണ്ട്‌ ഡൗണ്‍ ആ ദിവസം ആരംഭിക്കുമെന്ന്‌ കണക്കാക്കാം എന്നും 'സ്വര്‍ഗ സഞ്ചാരി' അഭിപ്രായപ്പെടുന്നു.

എന്നാല്‍, താന്‍ നിര്‍മ്മിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന സ്വര്‍ഗത്തിന്റെ ഭൂപടത്തെ കുറിച്ച്‌ എംതേബുവിന്‌ അടക്കാനാവാത്ത ഉത്‌കണ്‌ഠയുണ്ട്‌. തന്റെ സൃഷ്‌ടി മറ്റുരാജ്യക്കാര്‍ പകര്‍ത്തി പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചാല്‍ ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്കയില്‍ നിന്നാണ്‌ ആദ്യമായി സ്വര്‍ഗത്തിന്റെ ഭൂപടം പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചത്‌ എന്ന കാര്യം വിസ്‌മരിക്കപ്പെടും എന്നതാണ്‌ ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഭയം. അതിനാല്‍, സ്വര്‍ഗത്തിന്റെ ഭൂപടത്തിന്‌ പേറ്റന്റ്‌ നേടാനും എംതേബു തീരുമാനിച്ചു!
