കാര്‍ഗില്‍യുദ്ധനാള്‍വഴി
മെയ് 3 - പാകിസ്താന്‍ നുഴഞ്ഞുകയറ്റം ആട്ടിടയന്മാര്‍ സൈന്യത്തെ അറിയിക്കുന്നു.
മെയ് 5 - ഇന്ത്യന്‍കരസേന നിരീക്ഷണസംഘത്തെ അയയ്ക്കുന്നു. അഞ്ച് ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സൈനികര്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെടുന്നു.
മെയ് 9 - പാകിസ്താന്‍ കരസേനയുടെ കനത്തഷെല്ലിങ്ങില്‍, കാര്‍ഗിലിലെ ആയുധശേഖരത്തിനു കേടുപാടുകളുണ്ടാകുന്നു.
മെയ് 10 - ദ്രാസ്, കക്‌സര്‍, മുഷ്‌കോ മേഖലകളിലും നുഴഞ്ഞുകയറ്റം കണ്ടെത്തപ്പെടുന്നു.
മെയ് മദ്ധ്യം - ഇന്ത്യന്‍ കരസേന കൂടുതല്‍ സേനയെ കാശ്മീര്‍ താഴ്‌വരയില്‍ നിന്നും കാര്‍ഗില്‍ മേഖലയിലേയ്ക്ക് മാറ്റുന്നു
മെയ് 26 - നുഴഞ്ഞുകയറ്റക്കാര്‍ക്കെതിരേ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വായൂസേന ആക്രമണം തുടങ്ങുന്നു.
മെയ് 27 - ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വായുസേനയ്ക്ക് രണ്ട് പോര്‍വിമാനങ്ങള്‍ നഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നു — മിഗ് 21, മിഗ് 27;. ഫ്ലൈറ്റ് ലെഫ്റ്റനന്റ് നചികേതയെ യുദ്ധതടവുകാരനായി പാകിസ്താന്‍ പിടിക്കുന്നു
മെയ് 28 - ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വായുസേനയുടെ മിഗ് 17 പാകിസ്താന്‍ വെടിവെച്ചിടുന്നു, നാല് സൈനികര്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെടുന്നു.
ജൂണ്‍ 1 - പാകിസ്താന്‍ ആക്രമണം ശക്തമാക്കുന്നു; ദേശീയപാത 1എ ബോംബിട്ടു തകര്‍ക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
ജൂണ്‍ 5 - ഇന്ത്യന്‍ കരസേന പാകിസ്താന്‍ സൈനികരില്‍ നിന്നും പിടിച്ചെടുത്ത രേഖകള്‍ പാകിസ്താന്റെ പങ്കാളിത്തം വെളിപ്പെടുത്താന്‍ പുറത്തുവിടുന്നു.

ജൂണ്‍ 9 - ഇന്ത്യന്‍ കരസേന ബറ്റാലിക് സെക്ടറിലെ രണ്ട്, സുപ്രധാന സ്ഥാനങ്ങള്‍ തിരിച്ചുപിടിക്കുന്നു
ജൂണ്‍ 11 - ചൈന സന്ദര്‍ശിക്കുകയായിരുന്ന പാകിസ്താനി കരസേന മേധാവി പര്‍വേസ് മുഷാറഫ്, റാവല്‍പിണ്ടിയിലായിരുന്ന ചീഫ് ഓഫ് ജെനറല്‍ സ്റ്റാഫ് അസീസ് ഖാനുമായി നടത്തിയ സംഭാഷണം പാകിസ്താന്റെ പങ്കാളിത്തത്തിനു തെളിവായി ഇന്ത്യ പുറത്തുവിടുന്നു.
ജൂണ്‍ 13 - ദ്രാസിലെ ടോടോലിങ് ഇന്ത്യ തിരിച്ചുപിടിക്കുന്നു.
ജൂണ്‍ 29 - ഇന്ത്യന്‍ കരസേന രണ്ട് സുപ്രധാന പോസ്റ്റുകള്‍ കൈവശപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു ടൈഗര്‍ഹില്ലിനടുത്തുള്ള പോയിന്റ് 5060, പോയിന്റ് 5100
ജൂലൈ 2 - ഇന്ത്യന്‍ കരസേന കാര്‍ഗിലില്‍ ത്രിതല ആക്രമണം തുടങ്ങുന്നു.
ജൂലൈ 4 - 11 മണിക്കൂര്‍ പോരാട്ടത്തിനു ശേഷം ഇന്ത്യന്‍ കരസേന ടൈഗര്‍ഹില്‍ തിരിച്ചുപിടിക്കുന്നു.
ജൂലൈ 5 - ഇന്ത്യന്‍ കരസേന ദ്രാസിന്റെ നിയന്ത്രണം എടുക്കുന്നു. ക്ലിന്റണുമായി കണ്ട ഷെരീഫ് പാകിസ്താനി കരസേനയുടെ പിന്മാറ്റം അറിയിക്കുന്നു.
ജൂലൈ 7 - ബതാലിക്കിലെ ജുബാര്‍ കുന്നുകള്‍ ഇന്ത്യ തിരിച്ചുപിടിക്കുന്നു.
ജൂലൈ 11 - പാകിസ്താന്‍ പിന്മാറി തുടങ്ങുന്നു; ഇന്ത്യ ബതാലിക്കിലെ പ്രധാന കുന്നുകള്‍ കൈവശപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.
ജൂലൈ 14 - ഇന്ത്യന്‍ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി അടല്‍ ബിഹാരി വാജ്‌പേയി ഓപ്പറേഷന്‍ വിജയ് വിജയകരമെന്ന് പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുന്നു. പാകിസ്താനുമായി ചര്‍ച്ചയ്ക്ക് നിബന്ധനകള്‍ വെയ്ക്കപ്പെടുന്നു
ജൂലൈ 26 - കാര്‍ഗില്‍ പോരാട്ടം ഔദ്യോഗികമായി അവസാനിക്കുന്നു. ഇന്ത്യന്‍ കരസേന പാകിസ്താനി നുഴഞ്ഞുകയറ്റക്കാര്‍ക്ക് മേല്‍ സമ്പൂര്‍ണ്ണ വിജയം പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുന്നു.
