Woman eats 30 miles of noodles a year!

Ever wonder how it would be eating the same thing all your life?  Well, Georgi Readman thinks that isn't a big deal and likes doing it.  Reading, who suffers from Selective Eating Disorder, is scared of being sick if she eats anything else apart from noodles.  Apparently, her mother picks up as many packets of noodles as she can when she steps out shopping.  Readman eats around nine packets a week and nearly 30 miles of noodles a year.  She says that she even likes eating them uncooked.

Three thieves arrested after police follow footprints

3 men have been accused of stealing items that include a samurai sword, but according to the central Wyoming police the suspects weren't exactly ninjas.  Authorities say they tracked the men down by simply following a series of footprints in the snow leading away from home where the robbery was reported.  The tracks led from the victim's house straight to another where cops found 3 men in their 20s sifting through the stolen items.

From the world of medical science…

Why are fat-soluble antioxidants beneficial?

Fat-soluble antioxidants, like astaxanthin or senol, are stored in the fat tissue for later use.  Water-soluble antioxidants like garlic or reservatrol are passed out of the body by way of urine, so they need to be replenished daily.

"Corruption in India was a fact of life"

The US Embassy in July 1976 said corruption in India was a 'cultural/political/economic fact of life", and that it was not a Western import but historically a local phenomenon.   "Corruption was not confined to the business or political world.  Hindu and other religious shrines in India have long been known for their corrupt practices"

The chiefs of some of the biggest companies in India – Essar group, RIL, Airtel, Sahara – are in some legal wrangle or the other with the government.

In an overly-regulated country like India, a ramrod-like straightforward guy can hardly succeed in biz without some golmal/gafla (jugglery) here and there.  So one can't really find fault with the promoters; on the other hand, look at the positive side: they have created tens of thousands of jobs and wealth for them and their stakeholders and lifted the country's economy – of course even as they enriched themselves.
