Dear All,

If there is a life, then there is an end also. This is the universal truth and nothing else. Every religion has its own way of interpreting and explaining this phenomenon of the universe: the sun rises in the east and it set in the west for we in India. This can be something else for some other part of the world.

So the birth of breathing has to have an end one day and that moment is  not known to anyone; even the the great scientist of mathematics, physics, the life science and even the medical science. The great actor Thilakan is in the hospital foe many days now in a very serious condition; while all expect the sad moment any time. Can anyone or any calendar   predict when? That is when the existence of some super power which controls every split of moment of all life. And that super power is omnipotent, invisible and any shape GOD.

Therefore, we shall not discuss in deep of any religious beliefs.

You have dismissed the seven reasons given in the text as baseless even though they are from powerful  .  sources and had gone on to quote the bible.  Sorry to say it is a pathetic attempt.  You said you do not know what the mayan  calendar was all about and yet you found it fit to rubbish it. You could have enlightened us by saying which of the prophecies in the bible has come to pass.  UCLA being one of the top 10 universities in the world would not be shooting its mouth without substance.  If you had watched the Discovery channels in recent times you would have known what they were talking about in connection with the subject matter. 

 

This matter began with someone quoting Nostradamus who predicted the end of the world this year coupled with what you find in the mayan calander and hindu almanac.  May be you would want to check them out in the internet.

I was reading the 7 reasons the world will end in 2012 and I was first of all surprised with all these 7 reasons, and all these are totally baseless.

While I am not sure of what exactly the Mayan Calendar exactly says, I am sure what the Bible says and nothing can supersede the Word of God. The Bible DOES NOT GIVE any time frame as to when the world will end. Secondly, the Bible do not say that this world will end, but only the end of the age which needs a lot of explanation, but I will try to summarize it.

Jesus Christ who died for our redemption, has risen and has ascended to heaven and He will come back to gather His people from earth one day, which is called the rapture. One third of the Bible contains prophecies and almost all have been fulfilled at its sequential order, just as it was written. Among the few prophecies which are still to fulfill is Christs appearance in mid-air to collect His saints from this earth. This event is known as the rapture. The Bible mentions of this happening as follows:

For we say this to you by the Word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord shall not go before those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. And so we shall ever be with the Lord.

-1 Thessalonians 4:15-17

The above occurrence is something the world has never seen or imagined that it will happen and thats what bible believing Christians are looking forward. Let me also mention that even now, not many Christians really know this truth. A scenario of the rapture is somewhat portrayed in the Christian film called the Left Behind, by Tim LaHay and Jerry Jenkins interested persons could search for this in the Internet and is worth watching.

Once the saints leave this earth, the remaining billions will be totally confused of the sudden disappearance of the millions around the world which will pave the way to the final formation of the one world government. This is the time when the Antichrist will emerge from the existing leaders and there will soon come a time when no persons on this earth will be able to do any transactions without the mark of this Antichrist. The Bible clearly warns of this stage as follows:

And it causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark on their right hand, or in their foreheads, even that not any might buy or sell except those having the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of its name. Here is the wisdom. Let him having reason count the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. And its number is six hundred and sixty-six.

-Revelation 13:16-18

The number 666 is going to be extremely used openly in the future in the computerized personal identification. It would be a surprising fact, but it would be worth knowing that ANY form of electronic communication that any person on this earth has done since the 1990s, is being recorded in more than one place on this earth. Even if you type a single alphabet Example: type R on the computer and then delete that letter from your computer, even that is being recorded in supercomputer(s) somewhere on this planet. Every phone call is recorded, every internet connected video is recorded, every transaction is recorded You and I, we do not have a privacy in this world anymore, if we are relying on any sorts of electronic communication. This is where the Antichrist will take the advantage of the public.

The world as it is, we are now heading to a one-way path to destruction, none of our leaders will be able to stop or are able to do anything. This can only be put a stop by Christs second coming. (Please do not mistake the earlier rapture as Christs Second coming that will only a mid-air meeting, to collect His saints from destruction).

When Jesus was on this earth some two thousand years ago, His disciples asked him about Christs second coming and this is what recorded in the Bible of that conversation:

And as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said to them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many will come in My name, saying, I am Christ, and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled, for all these things must occur; but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines and pestilences and earthquakes in different places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then they will deliver you up to be afflicted and will kill you. And you will be hated of all nations for My name's sake. And then many will be offended, and will betray one another, and will hate one another. And many false prophets will rise and deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many will become cold. But he who endures to the end, the same shall be kept safe.

-Matthew 24:3-13

As a Christian, with many other believers, I believe that the rapture of His saints is getting very close. The Bible do not give any exact years for this event (The Bible never gives any exact figures on the fulfillment of any prophecies, except for the Second coming of Christ, which will be exactly after 7 years after the rapture).

From the Bible passage above, we are witness to what is happening around we are hearing about wars and rumors of wars like we never heard before. Nations are rising against nations, government against governments, famines, pollutions and diseases are now a major issue of this world. If you look at the statistics of earthquakes, we are now experiencing earthquakes on a daily basis, even though most of them are not of making any news headlines, but they are in the increase. Towards the last days, Christians will not be able survive due to the hatred by others. There will not be any Love among people these were things which were unheard of, some 50 to 100 years ago.

The Bible then continues with the following:

for then shall be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world to this time; no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days should be shortened, no flesh would be saved. But for the elect's sake, those days shall be shortened. Then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ! Or, There! Do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders; so much so that, if it were possible, they would deceive even the elect. Behold, I have told you beforehand. Therefore if they shall say to you, Behold, He is in the desert! Do not go out. Behold, He is in the secret rooms! Do not believe it. For as the lightning comes out of the east and shines even to the west, so also will be the coming of the Son of Man. For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered. And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Man shall appear in the heavens. And then all the tribes of the earth shall mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of the heaven with power and great glory.

Once you know the facts in the Bible, you will not be surprised of what is happening in this world. I am not writing this to start any sort of hot debate or arguments, we are all free to have our choice and thats how God had created us. God had laid all the options in front of us and He had also pointed us to the truth and it is entirely up to us to accept it or to reject it, both with its consequences attached.

I am not challenging any religions or faiths, but I would like to remind all our readers that we humans are a living soul and that is what separates us from all other creations. Even the highest intelligent animal is nowhere close to the dumbest humans. The soul belongs to God and He has appointed us on this earth, expected to live a life as required by Him and to return ourselves to Him on the end our mission on this earth. If we chose a perverted life, away from God, we will not reach the destination expected by God.

The Bible clearly teaches that there are only two places we can end up, once we cross the doors of death which is either Heaven or Hell there is NO OTHER place in between. Both, Heaven and Hell, are eternal. We can only make our choices while we are alive. Once we die, we are directed to the destination, depending on our choice we made while we were alive.

It is a truly a pity to see people running around this world, doing any atrocities to anyone, to make a few millions and for their own pleasure, all by losing that persons own eternity.

So do not worry about 2012, since we have miles to go before we sleep. Many of the Bible prophecies are still to fulfill, which needs more time. The coming years are not going to be smooth ones, but really tough ones. The good old days are now over; science cannot give us a better tomorrow. Our knowledge cannot lift us to a higher comfort. Our money will not save us from any trouble. Our government cannot help us in our troubles. Our family, our spouses cannot give us the eternal comfort which we badly need in our lives.

Believe in the Living God and He will hold your hand while you are walking through this troubled life and He and only He can comfort you while you face the hurricanes of life.

1. Mayan Calendar

The first mob to predict 2012 as the end of the world were the Mayans, a bloodthirsty race that were good at two things:

Thousands of years ago they managed to calculate the length of the lunar moon as 329.53020 days, only 34 seconds out. The Mayan calendar predicts that the Earth will end on December 21, 2012. Given that they were pretty close to the mark with the lunar cycle, its likely theyve got the end of the world right as well.

2. Sun Storms

Solar experts from around the world monitoring the sun have made a startling discovery: our sun is in a bit of strife. The energy output of the sun is, like most things in nature, cyclic, and its supposed to be in the middle of a period of relative stability. However, recent solar storms have been bombarding the Earth with so much radiation energy, its been knocking out power grids and destroying satellites. This activity is predicted to get worse, and calculations suggest itll reach its deadly peak sometime in 2012

3. The Atom Smasher

Scientists in Europe have been building the worlds largest particle accelerator. Basically its a 27km tunnel designed to smash atoms together to find out what makes the Universe tick. However, the mega-gadget has caused serious concern, with some scientists suggesting that its properly even a bad idea to turn it on in the first place. Theyre predicting all manner of deadly results, including mini black holes. So when this machine is fired up for its first serious experiment in 2012, the world could be crushed into a super-dense blob the size of a basketball.

4. The Bible says

If having scientists warning us about the end of the world isnt bad enough,religious folks are getting in on the act aswell. Interpretations of the Christian Bible reveal that the date for Armageddon, the final battle between Good an Evil, has been set down for 2012. The I Ching, also known as the Chinese book of Changes, says the same thing, as do various sections of the Hindu teachings.

5. Super Volcano

Yellowstone National Park in the United States is famous for its thermal springs and Old Faithful geyser. The reason for this is simple its sitting on top of the worlds biggest volcano, and geological experts are beginning to get nervous sweats. The Yellowstone volcano has a pattern of erupting every 650,000 years or so, and were many years overdue for an explosion that will fill the atmosphere with ash, blocking the sun and plunging the Earth into a frozen winter that could last up to 15,000 years. The pressure under the Yellowstone is building steadily, and geologists have set 2012 as a likely date for the big bang.

6. The Physicists

This ones case of bog-simple maths mathematics. Physicists at Berekely Uni have been crunching the numbers. and theyve determined that the Earth is well overdue for a major catastrophic event. Even worse, theyre claiming their calculations prove, that were all going to die, very soon while also saying their prediction comes with a certainty of 99 percent- and 2012 just happens to be the best guess as to when it occurs.

7. Slip-Slop-Slap- BANG!

We all know the Earth is surrounded by a magnetic field that sheilds us from most of the suns radiation. What you might not know is that the magnetic poles we call north and south have a nasty habit of swapping places every 750,000 years or so and right now were about 30,000 years overdue. Scientists have noted that the poles are drifting apart roughly 20-30kms each year, much faster than ever before, which points to a pole-shift being right around the corner. While the pole shift is underway, the magnetic field is disrupted and will eventually disappear, sometimes for up to 100 years. The result is enough UV outdoors to crisp your skin in seconds, killing everything it touches.
