You need a setup rather than software to do this. As far I know, the only software needed is any good Audio editor and there is no easier way for this.
1) Needed systems are Cassette player, computer ( with windows 7 or XP is better) , Audio Editor software, and stereo wire with 2 stereo pin on both ends.
2) Install any good Audio Editor software with recording facility on computer. You could get one from Net search freely. Ulead Audio Editor once I used. I am not recommending but just give an example for Editor software.
3) If stereo pins ended wire is not available to purchase, you could make it manually by 2 stereo pins and suitable wires and solder it suitably.
4) Connect Cassette player with computer such as Audio out put of Cassette Player ( the same socket for speakers) to Mic (input) of computer using the stereo wire-pin I mentioned above.
5) Play each song in Cassette player and record each using the Audio editor. Also without Audio Editor software and using sound recorder already present in all computers, you can record song this way but stereo facility may not available and in Audio editor there will be more options to adjust the quality and nature of songs.
6) For time saving, you can play and record fully one side of the cassette in one time and later cut the recorded part to each song using the same Audio editor. But for better control, each song recording is better.
7) Save each song after recording this way in computer. The saved songs will be in WMA format in most of the case. It is enough to play in computer.
8) You can convert it to MP3 format, using the same Audio editor software as most of Audio editors having convert facility also. Thus save MP3 songs if needed for making MP3 CD and other purposes.
