Onion Rava Dosa This crisp and instant rava dosa comes handy when you run out of idli/dosa batter or whenever you have the desire to eat rava dosa instantly. I made coconut chutney and tiffin sambar for this but you can serve rava dosa with any chutney of your choice. Ingredients: Engr Sulthan
Rava – 1 cup
Rice Flour – 1 cup
Onion – 1, big, finely chopped
Green Chillies – 2 to 3, finely chopped
Ginger – 1 one inch piece, peeld, grated
Black Peppercorns – 1 tsp (optional)
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Salt as per taste
Oil as required
Combine the rava and rice flour with enough water. Mix well to a smooth batter.
Add cumin seeds, salt mix and add the chopped onions, green chillies, ginger and black peppercorns keep aside for sometime or if you find time upto 1 hr. Adjust the quantiy of water in the batter as desired and make sure its of running consistency.Pour a ladleful of the batter around the tawa and allow the batter to spread on its own and fill the gaps if any in center. Cook until golden brown on both sides and transfer to a serving plate. Serve hot with chutney and sambar. www.keralites.net
