Remembering two of the greatest            from a delightful era of dance and song                       A TRIBUTE TO GINGER ROGERS AND FRED ASTAIRE WHO LEFT US A LEGACY OF ELEGANCE, GRACE, AND INGENUITY ON THE DANCE FLOOR THAT WILL NEVER FADE!                                                                                                                                                 THE GREAT GINGER ROGERS DID EVERYTHING FRED DID... ONLY BACKWARDS...AND WITH HIGH HEELS!
*He was as deft As birds in flight A shooting star That lit the night*	*He danced as breezes Move in spring Or as the eagle Tips its wing.*
*His movements were A sleight of hand, Enchanted steps In magicland.*

 

Paired together first in 1933's "Flying Down to Rio,"  the pair came to symbolize grace and sophistication for generations of moviegoers.
*No eye could follow Leaps so fleet -- Prestissimo With flying feet,*	*Yet moments later He could flow In marvelous Adagio.*
THOUGH THEY STARRED TOGETHER ON THE SILVER SCREEN FOR ONLY SIX YEARS FRED ASTAIRE AND GINGER ROGERS REMAIN THE GREATEST DANCING DUO IN FILM HISTORY.   *From the poem FRED ASTAIRE by R. Glenn Martin* (Tho the words can apply to both Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers)
