As forwarded;-
Why I do not want to contribute to J K flood relief ,but will wholeheartedly volunteer Nepal earthquake victims
Respected Army chief,
1. As all are aware, J K is the highest corrupt state in our country. Entire state machinery from top to bottom is not reliable. We all who have served in that state experienced personally.  Whether it is Govt sponsored mid day meal for poor children or Sarva Siksha Abhiyan funds and ilk , all funds and items supplied to the state by tax payers money of rest of India gets looted enroute by all political middle men and sold in black market without reaching the destined. The poor continue to languish. So what's the accountability of my contribution.
2.Even after nearly 70 years of independence , they don't want to part with special status and article 370. Has the state progressed with them? Entire state is fed free, electricity, ration and etc are freely supplied to the people by taxing the rest of India, and still they don't owe any allegiance to my mother land. Despite all these things, they still show their inclination to neighbouring nation. Their political leaders,  separatists', militants gets funded to terrorise the state
3.All my brothers sacrifice their lives in J K fighting to safe guard the people, but still their valour and sacrifice is not even acknowledged by those people. More than 70% army is deployed in that state, still the soldier is not even respected despite Sadbhavana projects.
4. I'm duty bound to perform any task ordered to me. But, do you have moral authority to order all of us to voluntarily donate for the fait accompli you committed. Did you even try to find the mood or willingness of even a section of the community. Who is gaining in this vain glorious charity act?
5. Whom do you we want to impress? Politicians? Oh! They are rich and great people. Someone says soldiers are meant for dying. Other says people join army for free liquor and subsidized ration. Such callous attitude people you want to impress?! Where is the so called black money and the poorest in my country is yet to get the promised 15 Lakhs in their accounts.
6.How many cricketers , film actors, politicians, Adanis and Ambanis have contributed? Please let us know. I was posted in some forward areas of Arunachal before this where it took 4-5 days to reach nearest railway station. Things have not changed despite 62' debacle. There was one road then and the status quo remains. Soldiers have no proper equipment, weapons to defend,  please take up these cases with large heartedness on priority.
7.Natural disasters keep recurring. This year already Gujarat is reeling under floods, Godavari is in spate, overflowing and flooded Bramhaputra has already marooned lakhs of poor in Assam. Then should we not contribute for them also? Let there be an SOP. Am a TDS tax payer but every penny counts for my poor Jawans who solely depend on their salary. What moral right and conscience do we have to order them! They want to donate for Nepal but not for J K
Regards.
Capt Rationale singh
