Her travels have brought her to far regions of Africa and Europe, photographing animals in their natural habitats.   Cano's photos seem to invoke a powerful and huminizing effect that reach out through the photo and touch those that are lucky neough to view them. Even her black and white photos were not taken in a studio but in man-made shelters animals run into to escape the weather.
