About an year back I for used to think that the killer drivers of the KSRTC had finally been replaced by real drivers who knew how to drive and was grateful to the transport drivers who appeared to have respect for other road users.

But of late it is seen that the worst of the old transport drivers have somehow returned and have started their killing spree!?

What is happening, why is that the good drivers were missing suddenly? 

It is a very serious matter and the Government and R T Os take urgent and concerted action to check this murderous drivers ASAP.

Dear All

I have traveled in many countries and no where in the world the drivers have scant respect for the traffic laws as in Kerala. The fault lies mainly with the authorities, who give driving license to any one who knows to driver a vehicle without checking whether the person knows the traffic rules.

 Recently I asked a taxi driver, of 20 years experience as to the difference between the broken white lines, unbroken white lines and yellow lines on the middle of the roads. He thought for some time and said that they put broken white lines when they were short of white paint and the yellow lines were put when they finished with the white paint. I was shocked. After that I asked many car drivers and bikers and hardly 10% of the people knew the meaning of these lines. 

Let us have a test, how many of us know the meaning of these lines;  know people living abroad know the meaning of these lines.

In an accident happened at Sastamkotta, Kollam today morning a transport bus which was coming in over speed has hit a car and a lady travelling in the car has died immediately.

By the impact of the hit, her head has separated from the body and fallen about 100 Meters away leaving the body in the car.

The KSRTC driver's attitude in the highways are irresponsible and major accidents in Kerala are happening by their rude behavior of these drivers. They

are taking their salaries and other benefits from the tax the poor people paying to the government. Still it is going on loss from loss daily.

The Government has to hold these drivers accountable for the accidents in the road if they are mistaken. The people should join together to control these rude idiots and it is high time to do it. Awaiting your comments.
