[www.keralites.net] Khatte-mitten khabhrain from around the world

News of the day…

Women prefer thin men over macho males as partners.. Women find thin men more attractive as potential partners rather than those who look 'macho', according to a new study.

Macho features have long been touted as an evolutionary asset that heterosexual women look for in a potential mate but researchers said weight may be a more powerful driver of attraction as they found testosterone levels were more closely linked with weight than with macho looks. Women seem to cue into fatness and thinness, not macho features, when making their judgments.

(Me: Sallubhais and assorted He-men of this world move over! Looks, thin is in for men, too, as slim n trim men are irresistible for women).

Think it over

"People who refuse to rest honorably on their laurels when they reach retirement age seem very admirable to me" – Helen Hayes.

Tweet of our times…

Before I die, I'd like to see Manmohan Singh chatting with Salman Khan's wife at Sachin Tendulkar's retirement party.

"You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today" – Abraham Lincoln

Mind chow

A dog is not a good dog because he barks well. A man is not a good man because he talks well.

(Me: So, you aren't a dog, either!)

Be nice to your kids. They'll choose your old age home.

Line Maro

Is your dad an art thief? Because you're a masterpiece.

(Me: Only a thief gets such thoughts.)

Heart-warming news of the day..

Children find lion cub, take it to school

Moscow: Most primary school classes get a goldfish to keep, a hamster or a turtle if they're lucky, but children from one village in southern Russia got to play with a lion cub. Children in Rostov region found the 50month0old cub on the steppe on Wednesday and took it to their teacher. The kids played with the cub named Barsik. It has been taken to a zoo.

A latest tweet quoted in Mumbai Mirror dated 30/11/12 (page 2). This is only a quote made in jest by the author, plz…

As Parliament hardly functions, why don't we convert it into a banquet hall for THE SMALL INDIAN WEDDING"? The Govt. can make money!
