Re: [www.keralites.net] Harthaal

Though I am a Lal salaam , I have my own convictions on certain subjects which the Communists preach and follow.

II am against anything which inconveniences the common man / general public, like strike, hartal, go-slow, Nokkukooli, attimari, road-side meetings etc.

I fervently advocate too against strike, bandh, etc. of employees working in essential services like, water, electricity, police, public transport including air services, hospitals. If employees working in essential services feel that " right to strike " is their fundamental right, then the same right should also be given to employers, which in this case, is Government. Otherwise, it will be like two people sitting across in a table to find a solution to a problem where one has got a gun and the other un-armed !!

Dear Readers,

On Bandh and Harthals freedom for expression is only for the political mafia which is organizing it.We the common man don't have some thing called freedom for not only expression, for any thing. We have freedom only to cast your vote when ever there is election. I'm afraid time will come soon kerala will be like Bihar and UP some one will do our vote or will make us to vote for some one.

Because we always say circumstances of Kerala is different. It is high time to stop celebrating Bandh and Harthal.

With warm regards

Dear Readers,

In Kerala, Hartal means forceful closure of all day to day activites. What does this means. It serves as a reign of terror for those parties( for the govt..or against the govt) to smash public property, buses, shops, or attack even ambulances. What type of a protest is this? The Keralites are becoming vicious, arrogant and do not respect the law or the police. People who work in the far away govt sectors or private sectors have to either walk or take a days leave for these callous attitude of the hartal organizers. What good are these hartals when they disrupt our daily routine. Can you imagine the plight of hundreds of people stranded in the bus stations or railway stations? Why are these poeple so bent in destroying the peace? Why is that they cant take a different approach in a protest? Why do the majority of the innocent people who is affected quiet? Its time for us to rise against these people who organizes hartals every other day for every silly reasons. Hartals are a curse now. This must be stopped.

Thank you,
Dr Suresh

Dear Friends,

Like bhand, hartal also is to be banned for assuring a peaceful life of the common public. Hartal is a terrorist activity, because it is force on the unorganised public by creating a terrifiing atmosphere deploying goondas by the parties declaring the hartal. It would be worth remembering that all of us including political parties were in full agreement with the idea of banning bhand. The ban essentially has to be extented on to the present day hartal, which obviously has all the evils and anti social elements of a bhand.

Onrganisations and political parties have every right to protest; but that should not be an illegal intrusion into the privacy or rights of a citizens assured by the constitution. Unless the word 'hartal' is removed from the modes of protest, the general public will continue to suffer from the evils of hartal. Let us resort to other peaseful means of protest to make our social life a safe and peaseful experience in our country.

With love and regards

Bose
