First of all, being keralite i wanna tell something to Mr. Dilip that pls dont try to hurt our brothers in TN since our culture is not at all supporting this type of personnel assassination and to Mr Asif, I understood your feelings by hearing the words from Mr Dilip, pls realize that he has forced to say all these due to his scare means in future he may be the victim of MP dam collapse (I am sure by gods grace nothing will happen). Pls realize both of you that these type battles by using un parliamentary words will never solve the issue and will accelerate the burn.
I am sure that if any thing happen for MP dam (let us pray to almighty for nothing to happen) it will definitely effect Kerala as well as TN and ten thousands of poor peoples in all levels. So instead spitting dirty words like this pls try to hols our hands together to make the issue solved. If we success in this, we TN and Kerala peoples surely will have a place in world history for saving ten thousands of INDIANS (not keralites or tamilians).

What if the 116 year old lime and surkey and rubble and added steel and concrete dam(we have seen what happens when concrete is poured on a surface that is notcongenialto it. As long as you are at the other side of the dam, you can talk scientific fundas like Einstein or Newton. But people who live just below the dam and on the shores of river Periyar cannot talk such things at the moment. In 1979 itself this fear of dam break started, but by god's grace we are still alive here. But it is not a good idea to test how long the almighty may help us.
Your agriculture land turns to be barren is nothing in comparison with horrible death of people and geographical changes that follows the deaths. Whether it is 3.5 million or 3.5 lakh or 3.5 thousand, no government can let its people to die in vain.
Tamil Nadu's single problem is that they fear a new contract on new dam, because no sane person can engage in a contract for 999 years (1 year less than a millennium) without any revision of its clauses to accommodate changes of the ages. Keralam is ready to give the same amount water to Tamils. Then what possible problem could there be for Tamils to disagree with the idea of constructing a new dam? After all, even if there is no threat, it is a good idea to have a new dam to decommission a 116 years old dam which will ensure the continuity of getting water from the same for another 100 or 200 years to come. But after a disaster, do you think you will be allowed to construct a new dam at the same site?

Subject: Re: [www.keralites.net] മുല്ലപ്പെരിയാര് ഏകതാ പദയാത്ര ഞാന് ഗൂഗിള് എര്ത്ത് വഴി ഒരു ചെറിയ സര്വേ നടത്തി... മുല്ലപ്പെരിയാര് പൊട്ടിയാല് ആ വെള്ളം വന്നു ചേരുന്നത് ഇടുക്കി റിസരവോയരിലാണ്.. ആ സംബരണിയുടെ രണ്ടു മുഗങ്ങളായ.. ഇടുക്കി ഡാമും ചെറുതോണി ഡാമും പൊട്ടിയാല് വെള്ളം വരുന്നത് ഒരേ വഴിക്കാണ്.. ചെറുതോണി പൊട്ടിയാലും ഇടുക്കി പൊട്ടിയാലും ഒരേ വെള്ള മാണ് വരുക... മുല്ലപ്പെരിയാര് പൊട്ടിയാല് ഇതില് ഏതെങ്കിലും പൊട്ടും എന്നത് നിശ്ചയമാണ്...ഡാം പൊട്ടിയാല്... നേര്യമംഗലം വരെ പുഴയിലൂടോലിച്ചു തന്നെ വരും വെള്ളം ഇരു വശങ്ങളിലും മലകളാണ്.. ഇടുക്കി മുതല് നേര്യമംഗലം വരെ പുഴക്കരയിലുള്ള ജനങ്ങള് തന്നെ വലിയൊരു സന്ഗ്യയുണ്ട്.. അവര് പൂര്ണ മായും നാമാവശേഷമാകും .. ഇടുക്കിയില് നിന്നും ആരംബിക്കുന്നപുഴ നേരായ നീരൊഴുക്ക് കടലില് ചേരുന്നത് കൊടുങ്ങല്ലൂര് അടുത്ത് അഴീക്കോടും പിന്നെ മറ്റൊന്ന് വരാപ്പുഴ വഴി ഒഴുകി കൊച്ചി കായലിലും ആണ്... ഇതിനാല്... കൊടുങ്ങല്ലൂര് ഉള്പ്പെടുന്ന പ്രദേശം മുതല് എറണാകുളം ജില്ലയുടെ നിരവതി ഭാഗങ്ങള് ഉള്പ്പെടെ ചെങ്ങാലൂര്, കാലടി , നെടുമ്പാശേരി, ചെങ്ങമനാട്, ആലുവ , പറവൂര്, ചെന്നമംഗലം, മൂത്തകുന്നം , കോട്ടപ്പുറം, എടവനക്കാട് , വൈപ്പിന്, മാംബ്ര, മാന്നാനം, വെങ്ങോല , കാക്കനാട് , കളമശേരി, ............... ഈ ലിസ്റ്റ് പൂര്ണമല്ലാ... നിരവതി പ്രദേശങ്ങളില് മുഴുവനാളുകളും വെള്ളത്തി നടിയിലാകും... ഇതെല്ലാം പ്രതേശങ്ങള് പോകും എന്നതില് മേല്പ്പറഞ്ഞ സ്ഥലങ്ങള് പൂര്ണമായും ഇരയാകും... ഇരുപതു ലക്ഷം എന്നതില് കുറയാത്ത ആള്നാശമുണ്ടാകും... ഇക്കാര്യത്തില് അടിയന്തിര മായി പുതിയ ഡാം നിര്മിക്കണം.. മണ്ണും സുര്ക്കിയും ചുണ്ണാമ്പും ഉപയോഗിച്ചാണ് മുല്ലപ്പെരിയാരുണ്ടാക്കിയിട്ടുള്ളത് ശാസ്ത്രീയ പഠനത്തില് അമ്പതു വര്ഷമാണ് ഇതിന്ടെ ഉറപ്പു ഇപ്പോള് നൂറ്റി പതിനഞ്ചു വര്ഷം തികഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു... വളരെ ചെറിയ ഒരു ഭൂചലനമോ . ഒരു പക്ഷെ അങ്ങിനെ അല്ലാതെ തന്നെ വളരെ അടുത്ത സമയം ഈ ഡാം തകരാന് ഇടയുണ്ട്... ഉടനെ മറ്റൊരു ഡാം പണി യെണ്ടാതാണ്... ഇക്കാര്യത്തില് ഇനിയൊന്നുകൂടി ചിന്തിക്കാന് ഇനി നമുക്ക് സമയം ലഭിക്കില്ലാ.. അല്ലെങ്ങില് വളരെ നിയന്ത്രണത്തോടെ ഈ ഡാമിലെ വെള്ളം ഒഴുക്കികലയെണ്ടാതാണ്... അല്ലെങ്ങില്..... ഐ ഹവ് നോ വേര്ഡ്സ്!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

അഞ്ചു ജില്ലകളിലായി തൊണ്ണൂറു ലക്ഷം ജനങ്ങള്ക്ക് നേരെ പതിയിരിക്കുന്ന വിപത്തായ മുല്ലപ്പെരിയാര് അണക്കെട്ടിന്റെ ഭീഷണിയില് നിന്ന് കേരള തമിഴ് ജനതയെ സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിനു കേരള - തമിഴ്നാട് സര്ക്കാരുകള് അടിയന്തിര നടപടികള്
സ്വീകരിക്കണമെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു മലയാളികളും തമിഴ് സഹോദരങ്ങളും ചേര്ന്ന് നടത്തുന്ന മുല്ലപ്പെരിയാര് ഏകതാ പദയാത്രയ്ക്ക്
മുന്നോടിയായുള്ള വിളംബര ജാഥ വിവിധ സന്നദ്ധ സാമൂഹിക പ്രവര്ത്തകരും സാംസ്കാരിക പ്രമുഖരും ചേര്ന്ന് നടത്തി. രാവിലെ എട്ടു മണിക്ക് കോട്ടയം നഗരസഭ ചെയര്മാന് സണ്ണി കല്ലൂരും മുന് എം എല് എ വി എന് വാസവനും മറ്റു പൌരപ്രമുഖരും ചേര്ന്ന് ഫ്ല്ഗ് ഓഫ് ചെയ്ത വിളംബര യാത്ര വൈകിട്ട് ഏഴുമണിയോടെ വിവിധ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിലെ സ്വീകരണങ്ങള് ഏറ്റു വാങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടു
മുല്ലപ്പെരിയാര് സമര പന്തലില് എത്തി. സമര സേനാനികള് ജാഥയെ സ്വീകരിച്ചു.
മുല്ലപ്പെരിയാര് ഏകതാ പദയാത്ര ഡിസംബര് 19 നു വൈകിട്ട് കോട്ടയത്ത് വച്ചു പ്രശസ്ത പരിസ്ഥിതി പ്രവര്ത്തകയായ മേധാ പട്കര്
ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്യും. ഡിസംബര് 24 നു മുല്ലപ്പെരിയാറില് എത്തുന്ന വിധത്തില് ആണ് കാല്നടയായി 'ഏകതാ പദയാത്ര' ക്രമീകരിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്. യാത്രയില് പങ്കെടുക്കുവാന് എല്ലാ തമിഴ് മലയാളി സഹോദരങ്ങളെയും വിവിധ സാംസ്കാരിക പ്രവര്ത്തകര് ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്തു. ഇരു സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലും ജനങ്ങള് ആണ് സഹിക്കേണ്ടത് എന്നതിനാല് പ്രശ്നത്തിനു അടിയന്തിര പരിഹാരം കാണേണ്ടത് കേരള തമിഴ് നാട് സര്ക്കാരുകളുടെ കടമയാണ് എന്ന് പൊതു പ്രവര്ത്തകര് ആവര്ത്തിച്ചു ഓര്മിപ്പിച്ചു. | ![Fun & Info @ Keralites.net]( "Infotainment @ www.keralites.net") Prasoon K .
