[www.keralites.net] Jane Austen's Emma Wedding Style

Are you looking for something absolutely lovely and uniquely your own for your wedding? How about basing your wedding style on your favorite book? This would be a tough one for me given I have so many favorite books and quite a few of them are dark. But I love the idea of using Jane Austen books as wedding themes!

Terra Cooper Photography thought the same thing and is sharing several Jane Austen inspired shoots with us which we've spread out over a few weeks. Last week we shared Sense Sensibility and today we have Emma. If you're familiar with the story, you know Emma is a self-proclaimed matchmaker who creates quite the comedy with her mistakes and inability to pick up on things that are clear to others. Emma's whimsical and quirky style is portrayed perfectly in this beautiful shoot and since we adore it, we know you're going to love it too!

From the photographer:

Jane Austen's, Emma, is by far my favorite of her books. I, along with some other amazing vendors, wanted to create a series of Jane Austen shoots throughout the year and we started with this one. The details of this are inspired by the beautiful gardens in England with lots of feminine touches. There are two other shoots we did that that are just as lovely, Sense Sensibility and Pride Prejudice.

Re: [www.keralites.net] CASTOR OIL HELPRED PREVENT KNEE SURGERY

Dear All,

I fully endorse and support this mail regarding use of castor oil for treating injured joints. A couple of months ago I had injured my left knee quite seriously while playing squash in the Army club here. For those of you who know squash, it is a very injury-prone game.I was in pain and could not take any weight on the left foot. I could not walk or even drive my car. For a whole week I carried on treating myself with all sorts of pain relieving gels, balms etc and barring temporary relief for a couple of hours after application I could not get well at all. I was planning to go to an orthopedic doctor when a naturopath friend of mine instructed me to do exactly as given in the mail. Accordingly, I applied Castor Oil liberally over the injured knee, placed a soft cloth (again drenched in castor oil) over it and then bandaged it loosely with crepe bandage. At night I placed an electrical heating pad (these pads are available in all  chemists shop these days and cost approximately Rs 600/- or so) over it at low heat for the whole night. In the morning the pain had reduced to bearable levels. I repeated the procedure for three days and the entire pain disappeared. I was playing competitive squash once again  (and still do so at my 60 years of age) in a matter of one week. There are so many natural remedies that we are unaware of. Please spread the word to all your friends.

Regards and Godspeed,
Col M Giridhar(Retd)

Castor Oil Helped Prevent Knee Surgery

Castor Oil is a life-saver for joints, especially knees.
(See below a true story narrated by a few users)

A few years ago, my husband hurt/twisted his knee while getting in and out of a huge truck. The pain only increased as time went by, so we went to urgent care. After x-rays, etc., my husband was told that it really required surgery to repair and fix his knee, which was NOT in our budget at the time. What to do?

We had already heard about using castor oil on joints from a couple of doctors (M.D.) with knowledge in natural remedies, also.
According to instructions, I massaged castor oil into his whole knee area; then I wrapped the whole area with an old cloth (that I would continue to keep stored/sealed in a zippy-bag, for re-use) and with saran-type-wrap, because castor oil is both oily and staining–it will not wash out. After that, we put a heating pad on the area (SET ON LOW heat) for an hour. We kept the wrappings on his knee over night.

I had to beg my husband to let me apply the castor oil and wrappings on the first night. The second night, he reminded me to fix up his knee again. Night number three, he did it himself, on his own. He woke up the next morning, with his knee feeling great.
If/when he or I ever hurt any joint, both of us know to rub with the castor oil, wrap with a cloth, cover for a while, and get relief. Heat does not have to be applied, but it helps.

There is nothing like castor oil for knees and joints. It's messy, but who cares, if it helps prevent or STOP the need for surgery and if it stops pain?

Here are some other castor oil stories:
"Whenever my children hurt themselves, the first thing I reached for was the castor oil. My mother-in-law's uncle was a boxer and castor oil was what they used after a boxing match to prevent hematomas and bruising. It works like a charm. It has been passed down as a remedy in my family for many years."
LCF
"I rub castor oil on my aches and pains, and it helps a lot. Some people make castor oil packs. I used them when the doctors said I had liver cancer. We don't know what happened to the liver cancer! It is gone. I use castor oil every chance I get. I hope it works for others! Take care!!"
DG
"Used castor oil in Lacrosse for years. Put on castor oil and wrapped it with plastic wrap, bruise would at times be gone the next day. Frustrated a lot of players because they would swear that they hit you…  "
Tom D.
"Castor Oil DEFINITELY WORKS!!! I am a huge bruiser, esp. since I am borderline anemic and whenever I bruise and I apply castor oil right away directly to bruise and rub it in a bit, it significantly minimizes the bruise right away and/or decreases the severity or # of days it shows! I love it!"
MM
"I had warts on my hands when I was younger. Tried the burning/freezing remedies and nothing worked as well as my mother's remedy of applying castor oil to the wart and covering with a band aid. This got rid of the warts completely. I forget how long it took or how often I had to reapply, but they never came back."
VM
"Castor oil completely eliminated a wart that I had tried to eliminate for over twenty years. It did not even leave a scar! I applied the oil on the wart after showering and at bedtime and covered it with a bandage. I kept at it until it was gone, maybe two months."

[www.keralites.net] Mango - Naturally Ripening Vs Chemical Ripening

Mango - Natural Ripening Vs Chemical Ripening
Most of us prefer to eat mangoes because they are the sweetest mangoes in the whole lot. They are grown organically so they are tasty and healthy as well as expensive.
With people becoming more and more health conscious, the demand for mangoes is increasing with each year and so is the adulteration in the market.
Yellow ripe mangoes attract you to them, but before you buy the whole box of mangoes wait and have a careful look at those mangoes. You never know they can be the ones which are chemically treated. It has been found that the mangoes can be artificially ripened using certain chemicals. The main chemical used to speed up the ripening process is calcium carbide. It is a chemical that is used to produce wielding gas, which is very harmful if consumed. This chemical has been banned under the prevention of food adulteration act and rules. So beware or else you may land up in hospital.
Let us see how we can differentiate between artificially ripened and naturally ripened mangoes
Remember the terrific attractive aroma of a ripe mango? A naturally ripened mango will have a great aroma whereas artificially ripened mango will not have any aroma, in fact it wil lsmell like garlic.
The ripe yellow fine looking mangoes at the fruit vendor are sure to compel you to buy but those handsome looking mangoes are artificially ripened. Naturally ripened mangoes will have uneven green and yellow patches all over it.
These artificially ripened mangoes look finely ripe from outside but the flesh will not be ripe whereas a naturally ripened mango will be uniformly ripe and will have sweet taste all over.
A naturally ripe mango will be juicy but a chemically treated mango won't be juicy and it will be hard.
It has been found that most of the mangoes in the market are chemically treated than naturally ripened.
Naturally Riped Mangoes
Organic mangoes, once ripe and ready, are the most luscious fruit you can bite into.
How to distinguish between organic and chemical treated mangoes ? please watch this video....

[www.keralites.net] WHEN VIVEKANANDA WAS ASKED TO MARRY

When Vivekananda was asked to marry
When Swami Vivekananda went to USA, a lady asked him to marry her. When Swami asked the lady about what made her ask him such question. She replied that she was fascinated by his intellect. She wanted a child of such an intellect. So she asked Swami, whether he could marry her and give a child like him.
He replied, since she was attracted only by his intellect, there is no problem.
"My dear lady, I understand your desire. Marrying and bringing a child in to this world and understanding whether it is intelligent or not takes very long time. More over it is not guaranteed.
Instead to fulfill your desire immediately, I can suggest a guaranteed way. Take me as your child. You are my mother. This way your desire of having a child of my intellect is fulfilled."
The lady was speechless....
