As to why the Hindus failed in stopping the spread of Islam and also Christianity!!
There is plus point too, as to why the Muslims and Christians though having power, could not convert the Hindus in India by 100 %, whereas they were successful elsewhere.
It is a long story. Mainly Hindus are tolerant and they view the religion in other way in which the Muslims and Christians were not capable to think. So that intellectuals though many of them were killed did not embarrassed other religion. Those who were poor and did not know the philosophy of Hindu religion, they were influenced by Bhakti Marg by the saints. Resultantly Islam was influenced by Bhakti Marg to some extent. However to some extent the Muslim Kings were able to convert weak Hindus by force.
The Bhakti Marg is total surrender to God. One cannot argue with them because Bhakti Margis are not ready to hear opposite view.
Islam and Christianity is one type of Bhakti Marg, where scientific thinking is prohibited.
We had two great people Viz. Shankaracharya and Dayanand Saraswati who saved Hindu Religion. The others are Tulsidas, Mirabai, Surdas and many innumerable saints of Bhakti marg save poor mass from conversion. ...
