[www.keralites.net] Re: [TheBecoming] Re: [FHRS_USA] Re: Rebuttal to a Muslim group on Genocide in India

I for one is least interested in interfaith dialogue. For 2000 years they have been preaching peace between different religions and they have not succeeded in it. I dont see how they will succeed now..
The best thing is to make religion an individual matter as is the case in most parts of the world. They are the organized religions and their hierarchy which causes all the trouble.
God does not exist and so does not stand to gain anything from religions. The faithful have much to lose in time and resources spent on religion. The only people who stand to gain from religion are the priests. This was recognized by the Charvakas some 600 years before the Christian era. They asserted religion's only usefulness was to provide livelihood to priests.
Mothers are another group of people who keep religion alive. Women have a high sense of insecurity and they take more naturally to religion because of their heightened sense of insecurity. They then pass on all their superstitious sense of fear and insecurity to their children when the children are most impressionable. Once these children turn to superstition it is very difficult to wean them away. That is the reason why religion survives in spite of so much going agaist it.

Dear Sardar Jgmohan Ji,
You are true in stating that this channel is becoming  A CONVERSION CHANNEL. This net has lost its glory when we discussed only Naam and equality in the house of God on this. Now haughty pundits have taken over to prove that their religion is the best or to prove that they have read more granths. They have no interest in interfaith dialogue.

I some times wonder at these so called inter faith meetings. The main purpose of the Abrahamic religions is to convert other faiths to theirs. So this is like Meat eaters and herbivores having a meeting.

Let me share my additional thoughts.

First I am a Director of Peninsula Multifaith Coalition and my organisation will never take such a potential bias stand. Thus, not all interfaith councils are same.

Second, I was not on the agenda but was given an impromptu 3 minutes to speak. As you can see, they took away the microphone at 2.37 min time point and I was escorted out.

Third, this "Interfaith dialogues are not solving any problem, and are a waste of time" may be true but not attending means we are not speaking out there on our position. Instead, I highly recommend all of you to sign up with your local interfaith council and attend all meetings. You have to be in to influence someone someday. It would be a grave mistake if we don't enter into uncomfortable zone.

When you find out about any Hinduphobia type meeting agenda, please do these:

1. Silent diplomacy is the best approach. Going and protesting in the front of the venue or creating chaos inside the meeting will backfire on us. Don't do it.
2. We should reach out to all stake holders and hard press them to change their minds BEFORE the meeting.
3. Attend the meeting well prepared (see attached my home work).
4. Once there, be cordial and friendly to all, even we don't agree to their views. During this 6 hour meeting and breaks, I met most of them like my friends, why not?
5. When I was given an ad-hoc opportunity to speak, I was clear I will not be allowed to finish. I decided to cover 3 major points and put lots of butter in between to allow me to finish. I managed to finish two points.
6. Always video tape any and all speeches. If I did not had this 2.37 min video and photos, there is nothing I will have to talk to you today.
7. Post meeting: We have to have dialogue with relevant interfaith leaders post meeting to press hard not to plan such events in the future. I am still having many e-mail communications with them and will go meet them too. Believe it or not, it will have some impact in the future (better than not doing it).
8. We should plan our own similar meetings involving (endorsements by) other faith groups.

Sri Rajiv Malhotra has has said that Interfaith dialogues are not solving any problem, and are a waste of time.
In one of such meeting he attended, asked Muslim speaker if she will respect Hindu dharma, and she hung up.
Even Pope refuses to respect Hindu Dharma because if you respect, then there is no reason to convert.

An alternative to live interfaith meeting is written blog debate.
Any way, I would refuse to attend such a meeting if equal time is not given to each speaker.

I have not seen the liked video yet.

BTW, why NDTV is included in the email distribution?
Are there any anti-Hindus in the list?

I was asked to give a rebuttal at the meeting "Genocide in India" organised by a Muslim group and sponsored by three interfaith councils in the San Francisco Bay area. It was a 6 hours meeting. The agenda was bias for the benefit of Islam and covered recent events in India. It spared any discussion of Genocide on Kashmiri Pandits and minorities in Pakistan and BanglaDesh. Some of presenters earlier promoted that Mahatma Gandhi was rapist, racist and promoted violence.

At the end, they gave me 3 minutes to speak. Unfortunately they could not hear me more than 2.37 minutes and I was escorted out.

Please share your views if such one sided meetings will help increase understanding between Hindus and Muslims.

Express your views if ICCCC and three other Interfaith Councils' endorsement of such meetings is justified.

HOW OUTSIDE GOVERNMENT AND SO CALLED CHARITABLE HUMAN RIGHTS ORGANISATION AID AND ABETTED THE IDEA

The pattern in which the anti-CAA riots and protests have been mushrooming in Delhi and elsewhere in India, can neither be spontaneous and nor the same can be natural and genuine public dissent or outrage against CAA.

There is a deep rooted conspiracy hatched by Anti-India forces in India and abroad to sabotage and topple the democratically elected and popular "Modi government" by using the dirty money from Pakistan and other dubious charitable and Human rights organisations NGOs means like deceitful collection of donations on the false pretext of charity for the Muslims.
