Bhayandar: Started off as a family urgency, blood donation has gradually become a part of his life for Jyotindra Mithani- a 64-year-old resident of Mira Road who has achieved a commendable feat by donating blood for 151 times between the year 1977 to 2017.
Apart from volunteering regularly in blood donation camps, Mithani gears up and rushes to the nearby blood bank for every time he gets a message for blood donation request. This not only for family and friends but also on stranger's call. An inspiring example for all, Methani's blood group is A positive and he has been donating blood at an average of four times every year.
His name has been inked in the World Records India for the noble deed. Mithani, who has also been helping in creating awareness among the youngsters and adults to save lives by donating blood, vouches to continue doing so in future. "The only motive behind my donating blood is that it helps in saving precious human lives and above all gives me immense satisfaction," says Mithani.
