Aisha Parween daughter of a Taxi Driver tops Class X exam in Kawardha, the district of Chhattisgarh. As her mother is not keeping well, she also carried on with household chores along with studies. Aisha Parween, a Class X student of RSS-backed Saraswati Shishu Mandir, has topped the board examination in Kawardha, the home district of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh. In the examination conducted by the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE), Parween, a daughter of taxi driver, has scored 95.83 per cent in the district of Kawardha, about 120 km from Raipur. Judging Aisha's ability, Saraswati Shishu Mandir had waived her school fees. "She has been very studious from childhood. As her mother is not keeping well, she also carried on with household chores along with studies," said her father Asghar Khan. All his three children are enrolled in the same school. The Class X board result was a moment of joy for Aisha Parween and pride for her school, Saraswati Shishu Mandir. "She overcame odds of grim financial situation. We felt delighted. After her excellent result the school has taken a decision not to charge any tuition fees from her for the next two years," school principal Santosh Chandravanshi said. She nurtures the dream of becoming a doctor. "The district education department will do everything possible to assist her in accomplishing her goal. She will be guided by us to take-up the best coaching and support for the pre-medical test," Kawardha district education officer Satish Pandey said. Life has been a challenge for Aisha who believed that one shouldn't give up hopes and work hard. "We can continue to improve and achieve. I used to study for about five hours daily at home," she said. Over 4.5 lakh students appeared in the 10th board examinations that were held in February-March. http://www.newindianexpress. com/thesundaystandard/2017/ apr/23/muslim-girl-tops- mandir-school-in-chhattisgarh- 1596651.html
