The 5 Things You Don't Owe Anyone!

There are always moments in our lives where we feel as if we must do this certain thing for this certain someone all because we are a good person and want to live up to those expectations that people have set for us.

Well, the truth of the matter is that you don't necessarily owe anything to anyone.

The fact that you are so willing to put other people's needs before your own is a very wonderful quality to have, however, if you find yourself being the one who ends up with nothing in the end more often than not, then you should consider these eight good reasons to just say no the next time someone wants an explanation out of you.

1. Against Your Instincts

You don't owe anything to anyone that makes you question yourself. If your gut feeling is telling you not to give this person something, then you do not have to.

You do not have to give them an explanation of what you're doing, where you're going, or who you're going to be with. If you feel they are prying things they shouldn't, then allow yourself to say no and walk away.

2. Against Your Thoughts

If you feel as if this person is provoking you to admit to something that isn't even true, then you do not owe this person a single explanation in the slightest.

You do not have to give them fake compliments, a fake truth, or any kind of twist that goes against your better judgement or what you know is the right thing to do.

If this person continues to ask you to blindly tell them things they want to hear, then you should find the chance to say no or simply leave the situation all together.

3. Against Your Feelings

If you feel as if the way you feel is being tossed out the window for this person, then you do not owe them anything at all.

Your emotions are more than valid and if this person only seeks you for some kind of support but never to support you, then you have all the right to leave this person in the dust.

4. Against Your Concern

If a person is constantly wanting things out of you, regardless of your input or concern, then you do not owe this person anything at all.

If someone comes to you with a problem but care little for your opinion about it, then they can go find someone else who will blindly indulge in their affairs. It is no up to you to fix this problem since it is of none of your concern.

5. Against Your Consent

Most important of all, if this person is prying you of things against your consent, then you do not owe them a single thing in the entire world.

The fact that this person has little to no concern for your consent just proves that they do not care for what you think, feel, or do regardless if you tell them or not.

So then why give them what they want? Unless this person is threatening your life, tell them no, walk away, and never speak to them again.

It is important that you think for yourself when it comes to being nice to every single person that asks a favor from you, respectfully or forcefully. You do not owe anyone who tends to harm you a single thing at all.

Stand up for yourself, what you believe in, and never give into the toxic people that wish to do more harm than good.
