ALL IT TAKES IS GIVING BLOOD AND OUR BABY AARAV CAN HAVE A CHANCE AT LIFE.
Dear Family and Friends,
As some of you are aware Aarav hasn't been too well over the last few months, Aarav has been diagnosed with an immune deficiency known as CGD. This is a rare blood disorder that affects 1 in every 250,000 babies.
Unlike other children, Aarav who is 5 months finds it difficult to ward off infections because of his condition. He is currently under the care of Great Ormond Street Hospital for a life threatening lung infection.
His only chance of remaining healthy and being able to protect himself against life threatening infections and other conditions, will be through a blood stem cell donation (bone marrow transplant).
With your help Leena and I hope to remain positive and humbly ask you from the bottom of our hearts to register on the bone marrow registry. Aarav then can hopefully be cured through a blood stem cell donation. Anyone else that also needs a blood stem cell donation for a cure, including blood cancers, and other life-threatening blood and immune deficiency disorders can also benefit. 
There may be a better chance if more Asians come forward to register as well, as ethnicity can play a key factor in finding a donor match.
Most blood stem cell donations take place via blood collected from the arm. This is a procedure similar to giving blood. (See more at:http://www.anthonynolan.org/media/facts-and-stats…)

All it involves is registering on one of the above websites, waiting for the pack to arrive in the post and then giving a saliva sample – easy!
