[www.keralites.net] Colorful Vermont Fall Wedding

Like I mentioned last week in this feature, miss-matched bridesmaids dresses are a favorite wedding trend of mine. So it's lovely to see these gold miss-matched bridesmaids dresses in today's colorful Vermont fall wedding it.

Photographers Dreamlove Photography share that some of their favorite things about this wedding included the handing out of pashmina scarves to guests before the ceremony, and the toddler-sized Radio Flyer wagon used to transport the 11-month-old flower girl down the aisle. At the reception, all of the vases for centerpiece flowers were handmade by a talented potter. She also sculpted the bride and groom birdie pie toppers. Another favorite DIY detail from this wedding was the super cool paper hearts mobile made by using antique quilting rings and a heart paper press. With so many sweet and romantic details at this wedding, I'm sure you'll find some favorites too!

From the bride:
We decided to have a rustic wedding once Tom proposed. We sat down and talked about what we wanted for our wedding vision. I wanted to get married in the fall, and he wanted to get married in our favorite place, Vermont. So I looked into many venue options, and we both realized that the best way to host a cozy, beautiful wedding would be in a barn! The Inn at the Round Barn was the perfect place. They covered every element that I was looking for. A gorgeous setting, a unique rustic barn, amazing catering, fabulous service and a wonderful, top notch historic inn for us to stay locally and get ready all at the same location.

My favorite thing about the wedding was incorporating all our personal touches. Having been to so many weddings myself, I wanted to create a very personal and custom wedding ceremony and party for people to remember. The ceremony we put together incorporated personal vows written by the bride and groom, and although there were a few tears, it was the perfect way to express our love to each other. I also loved all the little touches we incorporated into the decorations. I made all the ceramics myself, which allowed everyone to take home vases as gifts and mementos. Most of the feathers that were used in the boutonnieres and centerpieces and antlers on the tables were collected and hunted by Tom and his father. Tom's father, Michael, also custom built us the arbor that we used. I also made all the jewelry worn by the bridesmaids. The postcard guest book we put together used vintage and new postcards that were collected over the years through our travels. Everything was personalized!
